I don't care what your background is (pagan, atheist, christian, etc.)

Also, what version of the translation did you study?

I'm just curious.

I just want to know why people are so obsessed with money. I want to be a missionary from 22 untill I am thirdy then I want to be a youth pastor. Isnt this a good thing or am I off? I know that I will never be rich or any of that but I want to bring as many people to heaven as possible. When I die I want God to pat me on the back and say you did a good job being faithfull to my plan for you. I just feel that life here on earth when we know God should be used only to bring non-believers to God. Because at the end of the day thats all that matters. Heaven or Hell for eternity, Do I have the corect thinking or no?

I served four years in the United States Military. Since I am an atheist, did I do that because of my values, of patrotism, loyalty to country, or was I just doing that to further the agenda of the dark lord Satan?

Is there a perticular message agnosticism gives about how an individual should lead their lives? I am aware that it talks about the not having proof for the existance of god/s. But I am concerned as to how it helps the spirituality of a being.
Thank you!

My MOhter and I have discussed this a few times. And I'm not speaking of experiencing the fact that one may have been a long time member of a certain church.
You know how some churches have this "extra" positive aura about them, or just feel "holier" in some way?
And it doesn't have anything to do with "visuals" either--statues, or decor, ect. It could be a small church or an small old temple, ect.
Just a "feeling" that really hits you once you walk in, while some other's just feel nothing either way.
Do you/did u ever experience what I'm talking about?

Recent medical study found that about 15 percent of pregnancies ended in miscarriages during the first 20 weeks. The study further said, “The actual percent is probably much higher because most miscarriages occur by the 12th week, before they are even detected.” ( Journal of the American College of Ob- Gyn, Oct.2006).
If such embryos/fetuses are “persons” as some claim, does that mean that nature (or God) is a rampant abortionist? If such embryos/fetuses have “souls” as some claim, are those billions deprived of a heaven because they are not baptized?
Or might this scientific finding be a significant indication that such embryos/fetuses are less than human beings? Such was the teaching of the highly regarded Roman Catholic theologian Thomas Aquinas. He thought that before “the quickening” or perception of movement of the fetus , 16-20 weeks, it was not yet human, and that aborting it was a moral option. "
What possible value can the views of a Catholic theologian hold for Protestants or even for contemporary Catholic church hierarchy?

I was shocked when I watched that show. Now I am confused and I do not know if Islam really teaches tolerance and equality?

The original writers did not break up their writings into chapter and verse, so who did it?

Who had the Authority to do that?

Do you or I have the Authority to break up the current chapters/verses into more chapters/verses?

Ignorance is the breeding ground of religion....organized religion is really not much different from organized crime....when one did not buy the insurance offered by organized crime, your shop would be blown up the next day.....organized religion is much more refined.....if you do not pay...there is "last judgement day".....and when you die and you find out that there is no God....you cannot come back a sue the church ......even then.....you have no case!!! Is it not a "voluntary" gift? Businesses "give" for tax purposses....What does any church do when nobody pays?...they go out of business......ever wondered what those hundreds of cardinals do at the Vatican together with the Pope?.....they are having a good time and living it up at your expense......like organized crime in the 30tish.....

The evolution theory basically states that the inhabitants of this earth from the time it began evolved and everything we see today is done so by evolution. Now that is great but the creationists theory basically states that we were created by a God and thats how everything has come to be. My theory is yes theres a God who created the very first organisms, etc. and then we evolved over time. Is that not a possible theory? If you can offer sites to argue the fact or defend the fact the there was a God who statred the creation but then over time he left it and we evolved on our own that would help alot. Thanks everyone.
