It scares me that 99% of biologists (according to creationists) are either the tools of Satan or incompetant at their job.

Well, the theory of evolution is not something a scientist made up one day. Scientists had spent years looking at the evidence and trying to figure out what was going on. Evolution is not a made up idea, it is an explanation of all the evidence. There was all sorts of evidence.

First of all was the fossils. There are all sorts of fossils in many different areas. Some fossils resembled each other but not perfectly. There would be a difference in them and enough of a difference to make it a different animal. Also, these different animals were never found together. Always in different layers. That was something they noted.

Next up was geology. Geologists were studying the earth in great detail. Making maps of the layers and charting them out and realizing that these layers came from different times. A rock wall is a rock wall to some, but to a geologist it is a story book. Sandstone layers are deposited in a certain environment. Limestone layers are deposited in a certain environment. However, if you find these layers stacked on top of one another that tells you that particular area had been in both the environments. That is not something that can happen overnight, and if you have hundreds of layers that tells you that particular piece of earth had experienced several different types of environments. A geologist can look at the stone and interpret what environments were working there. This let them know that earth was very old because it takes time for the environment to shift.

Comparative anatomy is another science that brought more data into the picture for scientists to look at. The study of comparing one animal species to another had many interesting observations. There are animals that are very similiar but are separated somehow. Sometimes they are far apart and sometimes they are close together but something in their environment keeps them apart. Such as the birds that Darwin studied in the Galapogos. These birds could be found on the South American continent, but the birds on the Galapogos were different. They had different beaks. Why?

All of these facts were pointing to something. 1. The earth was older than many people thought and 2. Life changed over time, and one species can become a different species. It can even branch into multiple species. Some sciences backed up this idea. New procedures and testing in chemistry and physics allowed for date testing of rock. (By the way, carbon dating is no good on things like dinosaur fossils. About 60,000 years is the limit on it. There are more ways to date rocks.) Scientists started to use genetics to study the mechanisms that allow evolution to work. DNA helped scientists to see how life could change. Geology has been using new technology to really get an idea of what is going on under the surface of the earth and give us a better idea of how the earth was formed.

There is so much science behind evolution it is amazing. I have not even scratched the surface with my impromptu work here. The science has been going on for over a century. The manhours dedicated to research are probably in the millions. New discoveries are made every day. New advances give us even better insight to prior discoveries and help make new ones.

The only way that religion can win over evolution is to ban science. Remove it completely from all schools and colleges. Prohibit any new research. Destroy all prior research. Punish those who dabble in science with imprisonment or death. That is the only way that religion can overcome evolution. I put this here half-jokingly but I would not be suprised if there are some out there thinking this already as the final solution to the evolution problem.

It is sad, but I know people who pull their kids out of school so they can homeschool their kids and teach them bible-approved science.

ONE MORE NOTE: Some say that evolution is only a theory and that a theory cannot be a real thing. Guess what, there is a theory of gravity. Do you not believe in gravity because it is only a theory? There is the theory of plate tectonics. Do you not believe in plate tectonics because it is only a theory? The interaction of atoms and sub-atomic particles is only a theory. Do you not believe in chemistry because it is only a theory? Every science is loaded with theories. Mathmatics is loaded with theories. Learn what a theory is before you attack evolution as only being a theory.

I dont believe it is an acts of Satan so much as it is an act of man to attempt to disprove God. Many who believe in Evolution think that it proves God doesn't exist, but it doesnt. There are believers in God who also believe in Evolution... that this is the method God used to bring forth man and since there has been big differences between man and beast for eons, they believe that even if God DID evolve man from ape-like creatures that there was still an "Adam and Eve" who were the first to be intellectually different from the animals.

lets just say christians just made up satan as the fall guy to all there problems but hey who says its because of satan that reality has been screwed up? remember satan only killed 7 people by the orders of jehovah in the bible and yet evolution is more realistic than creation theories are.

I guess it's all in how you look at it! One might say that if "God" hadn't had such a big ego he wouldn't have become angry and created "Satan" as it were! I believe in a Creator, but I also believe in evolution and adaptation. It's a nice blend...kind of like good coffee. Have a wonderful day! Annie

Well if you understood that electric fields can alter decay rates you'd understand how carbon dating wouldn't validate the theory. The progressive fossils still do.

DARWINS THEORY OF EVOLUTION IS COMPLETE GARBAGE, WE ARE SAVED THROUGH ARE FAITH IN THE LORD JESSUS CHRIST, IF YOUR WANTING CHRIST TO COME DOWN AND REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, JUST REMEMBER THERES NO COINCEDENCES, EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. DONT LET SCIENCE BE YOUR SAVIOR,THERES SOME THINGS WE AS HUMANS CANNOT EXPLAIN. SATAN IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL, MAN IS RESPOSIBLE FOR THE EVOLUTION MUMBO JUMBO, ALWAYS LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACE FOR THE ANSWERS, SATANS BEST DEFENSE IS FOR YOU TO BELIEVE HE DOES NOT EXIST,FATH IS THE ANSWER , NOT SCIENCE. READ C.S. LEWIS'S BOOK CALLED THE SKREWTAPE LETTERS, YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.

a theory can't be a real thing, since it's a concept of the mind. If you consider concepts of the mind to be real things, then God and Love are also real things.

The problem comes up when you try and define what is "real" and what, if anything, has absolute reality.

The absurdities continue when you say "nothing has absolute reality," because are you implying that "nothing is real?" that we are all no-things? If so, then what is a thing?

Well, Satan has horns, and dinosaurs have horns, so maybe Satan made the dinosaurs in his image. And since we're made in God's image, that's why humans and dinosaurs have always been mortal enemies. Except for the Flintstones, which was Evolutionist propaganda to make us think dinosaurs could be our friends.

No. There's something to evolution.

Might not be that we came from apes or a primordial ooze, but evolution does have its merrits.
