It appears this is the first time this mystery has been revealed since the world began. Do you suppose it is a reference to 'my gospel', earlier in the verse?

Until then, it was believed that only Jews could enter the kingdom of heaven.

However, when Jesus called Saul/Paul to the ministry, He told Paul that he was to take the gospel first to the Jews and then to the gentiles.
The gentiles could now be grafted into the inheritance of Abraham.

No, the mystery was also revealed to John the beloved and he wrote what he was allowed to tell about it in the book of Revelation.

Abraham was also allowed to see the "mystery" before he died his fleshly death.

A few of the apostles were allowed a glimpse of the "mystery" before Jesus actually died on the cross and was resurected.

These are the instances I remember off the top of my head, and there very well could be more.

In all cases, these men were not allowed to tell all of what they had seen. That is why it remains a mystery.

My gospel merely means my message. The mystery is the plan of salvation for Jews and gentiles. All through Jesus Christ.

The mystery is supposed to refer to salvation. Although that seems a stretch to me.

If I told you the secret it would not be a secret anymore. That was always the rule for secrets since kindergarten.
