Of course it's possible. I don't understand why Evo's have such a problem with ID. All we're saying is that the odds of life evolving are so small (10^-29) as to make the whole thing impossible without a way to jigger the odds. And that's all that God had to do to design the first proto-cell, which He then began modifying by manipulating the odds of 'random' chance.

Complexity of Life would dictate evolution to be unlikely...
These complex systems are all, in the case of every known organism, reproduced and assembled on the basis of the “instructions” built into the DNA molecular system.
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is composed of six simpler molecules; these consist of four bases, the arrangement of which specifies the message, made up of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and carbon, along with a deoxyribose sugar molecule and a phosphate molecule which hold the bases in place.
The DNA molecule not only has information required for the synthesis of the specific protein molecules needed by the cell, but also that needed for its own replication. Thus, reproduction and inheritance depend directly on this remarkable molecule, as organized differently and specifically for each kind of organism.
Thus, the problem of abiogeneis devolves upon the method by which the first replicating system evolved.
The insuperable barrier; however is that DNA can only be replicated with the specific help of certain protein molecules (enzymes) which, in turn, can only produced at the direction of DNA. Each depends on the other and both must be present for replication to take place.

One can believe that G-d did Creation, then perfectly set up the laws of science to allow people with free will to believe the scientific theory which appears flawless. There appears to be a time frame discrepancy between the two theories.
I believe in G-d and evolution, and that G-d created all things, and the science time frame. The rules are too perfect, and symmetry too beautiful, and suggest a master constructor to me. Note: My belief doesn't require me to spell out "G-d", but I'll do it out of respect for probable viewers of this discussion. G-d knew that evolution would happen, and foresaw the results, and allowed it.

Can a glass be both full and empty.
I hold to the idea of micro-evolution, to a small degree (read 'Beak of the Finch') but not macro-evolution.
That is I believe in an all powerful God who could create every good thing He desires and is not limited to having to use evolution.
Therefore... I do not have to kowtow to a belief that is in conflict with what God has said in the Bible.
He said He created it in 7 days and frankly I am taking Him at His Word.

Absolutely. It's called ID, Intelligent Design.
I'm no expert but it goes something like this........ a supreme being/higher power created the "lesser" organisms and then they evolved into higher organisms and then US!
It satisfies, to a point, both creationism and evolutionism. It's a compromise.
The bottom line is for you to believe what YOU think is real and not worry if anyone else approves or disapproves.

I think it is not only possible, it is correct to believe in both, I do.
I believe there is a God that created us, and I don't think He ever left his creation and in spite of this, all living things have evolved.
Just take a look at how much all animals (including humans) have changed / evolved in the last few centuries.
Follow your hart.

Fundamentalists believe that either you believe every single word in the Bible is the literal, unaltered truth, or you can't believe any of it is true.
There are many people who have studied and understand evolution and yet believe, as you do, that a supreme being created the universe we see before us.
What sacrilege it would be if we ignored the God given gift of our ability to learn about this marvelous universe He has provided.

Evolution doesn't require belief and creationism is not science.
We were supposed to be made in god's image - what makes you think God is an amoeba then?
Besides abiogenesis is anything if not natural. Read up on the experiments of chemists and microbiologists.

Not rationally. Creationism, however, is based on superstitious belief in supernatural things. If you choose to believe irrational things, you can believe whatever you want. Just as some people can believe in unicorns and evolution.
Moreover, evolution is change over time. Creationism states some supernatural being created stuff. They don't even deal with the same thing. One deals with reality and facts, the other is supernatural. Creationism shouldn't be taught as an alternative to evolution, since it has nothing to do with science. However, people can believe whatever they want.

If there is a God....why would He leave us? and if He left, where did He go?.....What is the purpose of having a God?.....all living organisms have rules to go by.....if the rule is broken, the consequences become effident.....only by folowing the rules, the organisms continue......inborn preservation of the species.....only men have a God.....and only ignorance will keep this God alive....
