I just want to know why people are so obsessed with money. I want to be a missionary from 22 untill I am thirdy then I want to be a youth pastor. Isnt this a good thing or am I off? I know that I will never be rich or any of that but I want to bring as many people to heaven as possible. When I die I want God to pat me on the back and say you did a good job being faithfull to my plan for you. I just feel that life here on earth when we know God should be used only to bring non-believers to God. Because at the end of the day thats all that matters. Heaven or Hell for eternity, Do I have the corect thinking or no?

Yes you do!

Money is what we get by with. If they did away with money... made the wealthy share their property etc with the poor, made all equal... we would be in a better place.

God created us all equal... no one ahead of the other... He created man in Their image, created woman from the side of man.. not head nor heel.

We are all equal... but we have some money hungry individuals that would steal the nickels on a blind man's eyes.

Its called GREED!!! The more money they have .. the more money they want. They will even be deceitful in getting it.

missionary work?and youth pastor?for a pat on the back from God? being faithful to his plan for you as you understand his plan . Missions, like any road begin from where you stand now. they do not always lead to a far off land. God has given you a pen with a voice, were you the first to hear his message to your heart and soul? If you have done this for yourself then you have done a mission well.from there you give testimony to the willing ear and through the Holy Spirit the unbeliever can believe. You and the pulpit. no matter where you are, there you are , have you family? are you priest of the family. you have asked much but you have said nothing of what you know.

Its always corrective thinking when you want to work for the LORD. We need more people out there with this mind. Money is not an issue here because it brings forth evil. 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. "

So you are going to live off the contributions of those people who have money. In other words, you will produce nothing, and live off of charity.

At the end of the day, you'll probably want a bed, heat, and a meal. If you have children, you'll need to provide the same for them. And you require that other people produce things so that they can give them to you, scott free.

Honestly, I think you're the one who is obsessed. Do you think other people have nothing better to do than to provide a living for you, care for your family and let you spend your time joyfully running around spouting off theology to the hungry people of the world?

Having money is not the sin; it is the obsession (love) of money (1 Tim. 6:10) where the problem is. Money; buying food for others) may be how one gets them (willingly) to come to the 'church building' to hear the gospel (spiritual food).
I am not saying the thinking is completely wrong; just think about it (for God's glory) further out please!
May you receive a large pleasant surprise today to God's glory!

money is a tool.
however, when you have none, you wish you had more
when you have enough, you spend more than you need
when you have too much, you have to buy security and your life is never your own.

When our needs are not being met, money is something we need.
If we could just go to the river with a fishing rod, I would doubt the quality of meat we would be getting. Besides, the fish in my river migrate, so they're not there except in the spring, and the other species of fish in my river has to be fished with a winch. (Salmon and Sturgeon, respectively)

After a while, I would get tired of eating fish.

I know plenty of wealthy pastors. They're all over the TV. I would guess you can make a pretty good living spreading the Word. But you need to have your own reasons and you seem to. So I say yes.

your thinking is absolutely right..In fact i must say that u r great...everyone else are also god they might have such noble ideas somewhere deep within their heart...but temptation overcomes it...and especially when u have millions of people around u doing the same thing running behind money ,"enjoying" life and stuff such doubts will arise in your mind...be strong and fight temptation and emerge as the winner
