I am not going to approach this with anger, but curiosity. Why does it seem that people on this religious board both:

1. Bombard other's religions and ask insulting questions
2. Believe that all members of a certain religion are exactly alike (i.e. the stereotype that all Christains press their religion on others)

Please justify your answer, any answers like "because" or "shut up" will be ignored, possibly reported if they are insulting, or simply will have no chance for my best answer. I would like well-thought out answers please. I know you all have the intelligence, please put it to use and end this, once and for all.

ok it's very simple... you have a devoted christan who has fallen inlove with a satanist.. they weren't a satanist to begin with but as time went on they turned to that, while the other person was once a satanist and then later turned to being a christan.. they understand each other in the way that they have both been where the other is right now as far as religon goes.. both are very devoted into their own religon and niether will turn away from what they believe to be the truth... I am very curious to know if they can have a long term relationship together... The satanist feels frightened as to the out come of it, while the christan wants to just love them regardless.. can this really work as long as they love each other???? I really need serious answers on this please.... It is bothering me something awful, I need guildence.........

Why are there no precursers to horse shoe crabs, and certain flies, to which the name i do not recall..
on another note, could aligators in your opinion be scaled down dinosaurs like the Leviathan spoke of in the bible and could a Behemoth the bible refers to be an actual dinosaur?
* It “eats grass like an ox.”
* It “moves his tail like a cedar.” (In Hebrew, this literally reads, “he lets hang his tail like a cedar.”)
* Its “bones are like beams of bronze,
His ribs like bars of iron.”
* “He is the first of the ways of God.”
* “He lies under the lotus trees,
In a covert of reeds and marsh.”

You know when the Bible contradicts itself, like thou shall not kill, but then it goes on to talk about battles where people are killing eachother, in the name of God.
And what about when it says that if you sin, you will go to hell. But then it says that God will save everyone? And what about those who aren't churchgoers? What will happen to them? I know some people, who are the best people in the world, but don't go to church? What will happen to them? I don't think that it would be fair to punish them when they did nothing wrong.
Also (changing subjects) how can I know that the Bible is true? How do I know that man didn't just do it his way to serve his purpose? I don't know what do think and would like some advice here. I just hope that if you don't agree with the Bible, you're in big trouble.

Christianity claims to be the only true religion. They can not prove that it is without their Bible. They can not prove their Bible is the truth. That leaves us with faith. All religions have faith. Everyone feels their religion is right. There are 2 explinations for this:

1.There is no "wrong" religion. Since we were all created unique and live in different cultures some religions will not work for all of us. God is more concerned about how we seek Him and not what we call Him.
2.There is no God and it is all in our head.

This leaves out the possibilty for only one true religion. It is not logical and no matter what you say, for God to only have one true religion and everyone else burns in hell is selfish. To suggest this, in my opinion, is blasphemous.Even if it were true it is not just and I would never follow a God like that.If you can't prove your faith is right and mine is wrong without your Book that you can't prove, who are you to preach at all? How can you even suggest it?

They all talk about going to heaven/getting your 99 virgins after you die (assuming you have been a good person/martyr) but for god to give a full description of "everything" surely it is necessary for him/her to provide an explanation of what happened to us before we were conceived in our mother's wombs. Is there any such description in the bible or Koran etc?

And if, following on from that, the bible/koran etc says we were not in existance at that time, then why should we continue to be in existance (in heaven or hell etc) after we die?

Does God want us to use the brains he gave us and to engage in scientific inquiry? Or does he want us to just believe that everything in the bible is a true and accurate description of the world and stop trying to learn about the world through scientific research?

Romans11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: Is. 59.20

when I shall take away their sins. Jer. 31.33, 34

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

33 ¶ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counselor? Is. 40.13

35 or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? Job. 41.11

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
