Man started looking around him. He saw and felt the wind and said it came from the God of wind. He saw fire and said it came from the God of Fire. Man created God. Man saw things he could not understand so he ascribeed to them supernatural origins. As time went on man started to ascrib this created god human attributes of love, caring, compassion, as well as wrath and destruction. Millions of cultures and ppl have been worshiping gods and goddess for thousands of years. Gods and Goddess of their creation. We created God in our image. Which is sad because we have made ourselves impotent before our own creation. Good and Evil, all the characteristics we say come from God or the Devil come from within all of us.

excellent question but one which we'll never know for sure.
same goes --- I think --- for the Big Bang theory that many people believe in as well. What came before the Big Bang. These are age old questions that everyone has thought about but few have solutions for. So why do people get into so many fights about it? Whether it be inner-faith disputes or inner-scientific disputes about it...

God is eternal having neither beginning of days or end of life, a Spirit fire or light called life. The Word begins with thought from conscious awareness I am, acquiring wisdom to reason thought to self with the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God. This wisdom of thought with words is not any substance or matter but Spirit, the Holy Spirit. God is One, by Himself or alone with His Words the Holy Spirit. This timeless existence of reasoning wanted company and God’s thoughts turn to creating company or sons. Sons to behold, abide with, and communion with. God discovered love, not of the thought, but of the sons He envisioned. God felt this love, the magnificence of it and wanted His sons to love Him. God realized He could not create true love or forced it upon a being, but true love would only manifest in sons of freewill. The wisdom of God also knew it would be necessary to govern sons of freewill by laws that are fair and righteous, to hold them accountable. God was willing to risk rejection and rebellion against the law. Sons of freewill could choose not to love Him but must obey the law. The sons would need a place to abide, explore, and grow. God created the heavens and the earth, His kingdom.

There's a marvelous book called "The History of God, " by Karen Armstrong. I'd suggest you pick it up and have a read.

He was, is, and is to come. God says, in concise language, "I AM". He has always existed. He had no beginning. This is hard to understand for us, because were are humans, limited to finiteness not infinity. He created us, not the other way around, and His power and thoughts are far greater than we can even comprehend.

It didn't, God exists under an entirely different Physics, one in which there is no end or beginning, just existence, and when
you are concluded in this brief experience you will return to that existence

He did not "come about". HE always was. This is very hard for us to comprehend since we have finite minds. GOD is infinite and not bound by time or space.
