Christianity claims to be the only true religion. They can not prove that it is without their Bible. They can not prove their Bible is the truth. That leaves us with faith. All religions have faith. Everyone feels their religion is right. There are 2 explinations for this:
1.There is no "wrong" religion. Since we were all created unique and live in different cultures some religions will not work for all of us. God is more concerned about how we seek Him and not what we call Him.
2.There is no God and it is all in our head.
This leaves out the possibilty for only one true religion. It is not logical and no matter what you say, for God to only have one true religion and everyone else burns in hell is selfish. To suggest this, in my opinion, is blasphemous.Even if it were true it is not just and I would never follow a God like that.If you can't prove your faith is right and mine is wrong without your Book that you can't prove, who are you to preach at all? How can you even suggest it?

You know, if my conclusions don't make sense, you are free to offer other ideas. That is one reason I asked this question...

Christians are correct, but they are not correct alone. Please dont give me hate mail if you disagree.
I feel that leaders in Christianity needed to prove to Roman "pagans" that their religion was false, a part of power play and also self-survival. When Christians were being persecuted in their early years, they started to include the notion that they were the only religion so that Romans would think about converting and stop persecuting them. Some bishops and church leaders wanted to have more followers and more power, they envisioned a Christendom in which they were the leaders. So they used fear tactics by claiming that Christianity is the one true religion. Same story goes for the cocept of eternal Hell. These ideas have stuck with Christianity ever since.
I believe that when Jesus said there is "no way but through Me," He was referring to God's grace and love, rather than literally through himself, a man, like you or me. Some people take religion too literally, rather than understanding the necessity for God to make religion abstract so that worthy people who invest time in contemplating it can be rewarded. God also made religion, as you stated, for different cultures, so every society could reach Him through their own system of values.
God wants men of different religions to work together and discover that they all love the same God and can help each other reach Him through there already established system. God will not condemn righteous people for believing in Him in a different form than the Christian perspective. If God is truly the Highest Authority, more than the ego-driven man, He cannot be in any single form. I can choose to worhip Him as Allah, Vishnu, the Heavenly Father or whomever I choose. God is above one form, but humans like to think He is that way because our mental capacity is so limited.

I don't believe in GOD for many of the same reasons. It is not only the Christians that believe they are the only true religion. The Muslims believe the same thing. Also with the Muslims - they believe that all who are not Mulsim should be killed if they don't convert. Christianity has given up that practive long ago- though it does seem to be returning through Evangelicals.
To understand why so many believe in GOD you have to look back to acient history. The Egyptians and other acient civilizations used GOD as a tool to control the masses and get people to be their slaves "willingly". After centuries of this practice even the Pharoahs began to believe it to be true I'm sure. It's all a brainwashing and no proof that GOD exists will ever be found.
the christians say that since there are prophecies coming true from the bible that it is proof all by itself. Nope - the bible has been in the hands of the Elite for thousands of years. They can make things come true easily enough - that is not proof either.
If there is a GOD then the answer is - there is no ONE Religion. to believe in the God of your choosing will be more than enough. anything else would be illogical. I would never listen either. PeAcE

Only 2 religions: God's way and man's way. When man lets self rule instead of God rule, then man is following the ways of man. God said that "without faith it is impossible to please God." Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Christians are commanded by God to study His Word, the Holy Bible. Recently when mankind started saying that the Bible had been copied too many times to be accurate, God had a shepherd boy at the Qumran Caves find 2000 year old copies of the Bible to prove man wrong. The problem with Christianity is not all Christians follow the Word of God, they pick and choose what they want and what makes them happy so they can continue their sin. Some don't believe that God is able to protect His Word, the Holy Bible, so they don't believe everything written in it is of God. Some deny the virgin birth. Some deny the death, burial and crucifixion. We must believe it all or none. God is bringing all mankind down to a Valley of Decision and mankind will choose either God's ways or man's ways, but man cannot have it both ways. Why would God want to spend eternity with a bunch of rebellious children?

Wow. Talk about a completely illogical conclusion. Are you absolutely certain that those are the only two possibilities? There couldn't possible be other possibilities? By the way, one of the fundamental differences between Christianity and other religions is that your good deeds do not actually earn your way into heaven. The bible makes it clear that no one is good enough and that God Himself has provided a way for men, a way that they could not do on their own.

All religions have beauty in their teachings... and conversely, many religions are proponents of hatred, intolerance, judgment and condemnation, all of the latter are attributes that destroy the light of spirit in humanity.
The three Abrahamic religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism - for example, preach love and kindness and speak of a loving God, but radical extremeists within those religions have created hell on earth that is still raging today. It appears that the only religion that has maintained its belief system in loving kindness and compassion is Buddhism, which teaches people various methods of maintaining loving thoughts and kindness not only to themselves, but to all humanity... exactly as Jesus of Nazareth had taught.
Religion is a personal, private thing; so in effect, there is no right nor wrong in the choice of one's own religion. In fact, they may all be related in one way or another. Christianity has been said to incorporate a lot of Buddhist thought. Did Jesus travel to India in his missing years where he learned the principles of Buddist thoughts and blessings? Many people think so. Check out the link to the website below. It contains some very controversial theories in regard to the man we know as Jesus of Nazareth, as well as thoughts on all the afore-mentioned religions... their similarities and their differences. Interesting speculations which may surprise you as they go well beyond what we have been taught and may even shake the foundations of Christianity as it has been passed down to us through the ages from Ancient Rome.

Obviously everybody thinks their religion is right or they wouldn't follow it. One of the sources that pointed me to Christianity was a book called "The Signature Of God" by Grant Jeffrey. Find what works for you and leave others alone.

Regardless of the logic, any religion which claims that they are the only true, right religion is setting themselves up for a huge fall.
It is the height of arrogance.

There are so many similarities between the major religions. I think that the main difference is cultural, where your ancestors lived and how they adapted their ancient religion. No one is more right than another.

No one is right and no one is wrong. Every path leads to the same place. Others just have their own ways of achieving their beliefs and goals. Although in today's world Islam is not what it was originally taught. Today it is all about greed and stupidity.

The papacy is the oldest Intuition in the world .- How could it survived without the grace of God & the guidance of the Holy Spirit.........The Holy Spirit did not convert to Islam in 610AD or Lutheranism in 1517AD or Calvinism in 1540s AD ...There's no comparison................The truth is , they Catholics give us the first Bible..the rest of religions intrepid it differently & formed counterfeit religion's groups...which inturn give us supermarket christens;.......pick & choose laws to suit themselves [ cool & new age stuff ] but has nothing to do with the scriptures....
