As a result of sighting some mythologies and weird book (shanhaijing - Book on Mountains and Seas, an ancient book of China), I figure out that God could have created humans and other living things by stages. That is, He first created a world without sun and moon. He created dinosaurs and other huge animals as play things. Then he created monkeys and first Peking Man. Of course, He created angels too. Then He destroyed those that were useless, like the dinosaurs and beasts in their times. The world again plunged into darkness and lifeless. He created again like that recorded in Genesis. He created this time man in his own image. He realised man needs a mate just like the beasts running into females and males. He created Eve from Adam's rib or Eve was cloned from Adam's rib which turned it into full person of opposite sex. You will find woman's texture is more refine because God did not mould her out of the dust or earth. For man God breathed His spirit into him, .

Wouldn't it make you feel better to just let it go and move on?

I ask, because aside from the usual religious-vs-atheist battles in this forum, I've noticed more than a few users airing detail's of e-mail fights. I find this behavior a little odd, what goes on in private should be kept there.

Thoughts?

I've begun to notice that more and more of world leaders are losing support and in fact their subjects are beginning to hate them. Hugo Chavez is hated, simply hated less than the rest of the candidates for his office. Mahmoud Ahmadenijad lost his party the parliamentary control. Vladimir Putin of Russia is accused of murdering his critics (and nearly everyone in his country believes the accusations are true). Shinzo Abe and Hu Jintao are losing in their approval ratings. Ehud Olmert of Israel is at a 14% rating. But look at Palestine and neither party (Fatah and Hezbollah) is well-liked, they have too much in-fighting. At least three governments (Fuji, Thailand, Somalia) have had coups to toss out their governments, and there are probably many more on their way out. Fidel Castro of Cuba gets sick enough to die and his country cheers the news with parades. Tony Blair will be forced into retirement soon (technically he already was, he just hasn't left yet).

Jesus preached salvation, something he tried to convince everyone that they needed.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."

That's impossible to achieve, so everybody needs salvation. Right?

But maybe that was the set up. Jesus set it up so no one could achieve the stated goal.

Was Jesus convincing people they needed salvation so they would buy into his way of thinking?

What if he was selling something that nobody needs, just like pet rocks?

What if there is no need of salvation?

then he knew what would happen if he created man and that he would eventually have to send his son to die for us. he also knew everything that's going on now. if he knew this was all going to happen? then why did he bother starting it. Was he really that bored?

"Jehovah Ye are my witnesses, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he" - and do you not also believe that Jesus was a 2nd God not actually God himself?
So how come in the 2nd half of that same verse it states "before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me" This statement implies that your belief is wrong!

I KNOW if I don't do it, I won't be able to live with myself. There are people who will think less of me if I DO this thing.
Where can I go in the Bible for guidance? And, how do I know for sure if I am doing the right thing?
This is a serious question, PLEASE only answer seriously, and may God bless YOU for helping me.

Finite godism was popularized in the early 1980s by Rabbi Harold Kushner, author the the best selling book"When bad things happen to good people". In wrestling with the premature death of his son, Kushner concluded that God wants the rightous to live happy lives, but sometimes he cannot bring it about. There are some things that God simply cannot control. God is good, but is not powerful enough to bring about all the good things he desires. In short, God is finite.

Did you have to live that long ago to witness the parting of a sea, or hundreds of animals on a boat? Yeah we all have had our own mini-miracles in our life, but why don't we see unexplainable miracles now? All we see now is unexplainable destruction.

Is it because that they believe in a higher being other than the christian god, so it MUST, MUST, MOST DEFINITELY has to be Satan? But Satan isn't even apart of their religion...so how does that work?

Explain it to me.

Who has deceived your mind to make you believe That God's existance depends on your perspective and point of view?
There is a natural world. Humans want to understand "God" humanically speaking with their minds, and that's the Real Problem!!
have you heard people say: So how can I see God,? How can I believe in someone I don't see? well the answer for this questions is simple " you're a human you cannot see God!! there is a spiritual world and a natural world. we cannot see God with our eyes physically unless you're in the spirtual world- that's why you have A SOUL - and the bible explains that when you die - Your body goes to the earth " Do you remembered Genesis God created hmans from the dust of the earth" when you die you go back to the dust... Your spirit Goes to God - But your Soul can actually see God and it's when you're are going to see him.
God created this world and we understand the Laws of this World because humans are compatible with This world.

My father and his second wife have adopted a few kids and one of them has some severe emotional issues to the extent that he has made serious threats to kill everybody in the family.

My father's next door neighbor got wind of this and said that he would like to come over to the house and pray over everybody.

My father told him he could do that if he was also willing to watch my brother (half-brother) for a few afternnoons so everybody in the house could have a break from being threatened with murder.

(In case you are wondering, the guy said no.)
