The "deal" is that Jesus is God's Son, he is fully God and fully man.
Jesus is the only name given to men that will save them from their sins. Jesus is the name above all other names.
Jesus is IT! The Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, and ultimately, the judge and jury for all mankind.
If you accept His free gift of salvation; that He died for your sins, you can have a relationship with Him and He will wipe the "sin-slate" against you clean.
"At the name of Jesus, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." You can either bow now, and rejoice, or bow later in shame.

People followed Jesus because they believed that He was the Son of God, they recognized God in their midst. Many of His followers so believed in Jesus as the Christ that they died for their belief, some in very unpleasant ways. Jesus was executed, because it was God's way of restoring mankind into a right relationship with Him. When Adam sinned man lost fellowship with God. Jesus came and lived as the first Adam was supposed to, perfect and sinless. His death, and the shedding of His blood was a perfect sacrifice to God to save all mankind. Jesus knew He would die on the cross and suffered this gladly for all of us. Now, when we trust in Him we become His child. In fact Jesus tells us that we must become like children to enter Heaven. Children are trusting of their parents and that is what God expects from us. The authorities of Jesus day wanted Him dead because they felt He was causing people to honour Him and not the Emperor of Roman. The Pharisees, wanted Him dead because they just didn't believe in Him, in spite of the miracles He performed

he was executed for attempting to cause an uprising of the Jews, especially in the Temple shortly before his death
many people were following him, he was a threat to Roman rule
people followed him because there own lives were not fulfilling (maybe because life under Roman rule was difficult and insulting) and they were seeking something better

Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. He was sent from God to be our perfect Redeemer so that we have access to God and all His Kingdom has to offer. Jesus' offers the free gift this way, His death on the cross was to pay the penalty for all the sin (wrongdoing) in the world. All we have to do is repent (turn away from that which is wrong and strive to do better), and trust in His perfection.

people followed Jesus because of the miracles, wanders as well as feeding them, they killed Jesus because it was the second fall of man Adam fell because of sinning with the tree of knowledge and not following Gods direction,God being a God that can not lie had to have His son(fleshly) to be perfect and be killed so that we could be saved by grace there is none of us above sin there was only one perfect and that was Jesus we all come short of the glory of God through Jesus shedding His blood on the cross we can be saved..........hope this helps

Well, the romans were more execution-happy than GW Bush on a good day when he was Gov of Texas. Not a high standard there.
Executed (depending on who you believe) for inciting rebellion, for ticking off the Jewish leaders or...he might not have existed at all.

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)
" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)
Does that answer your question?

better question?
How are you going to deal with Jesus...
You are old enough to have heard the Gospel of Christ.
Now, what's the deal?
