Isn't it true that in the Court of Law that Atheists would be found guilty of perjury by saying that they do not spread propaganda? This site is just an example of it.

someone answered my question in a way that implied it is my way of name-calling, but i think not. anyway, i'm so thankful that there are some people intelligent enough to see my point. calling bible-fundies "Biblians" is just for the purpose of classifying them so that when people are referring to them, people don't have to use the generic term "christians" because it confuses everyone.

it's just an educated classification, that's all.

who thinks that the term "Biblian" is derogatory, can you please explain why?

1. Who Wrote It?

2. If Humans Wrote it, Why Should We Put Our Trust In It?

3. Because it is the word of God? That Still Doesn't Change The Fact That a Mere Mortal Wrote It. Humans Lie, Betray, Cheat. So Why Believe In "Everything" The Bible Says?

I am this sack of meat that ponders itself and the universe. What a horror I am! Always thinking about light and beauty while I lie writhing, strapped to my bed.

This flesh could have been put to so many better uses. If only a mother of a wild beast ate the fish from the sea and the wheat from the field and had not my human mother eaten of them, the chemicals could have become the flesh of an orderly creature! What good is this flesh now? Isn't it spoiled?

How do I destroy my abominable self without killing it? I will not kill myself because that will cause ugliness and not order. What is another method?

No dogma or lies please thank you. I already have enough lies whispering to me in the back of my mind.

You work with blind, disabled children, who may be of a differant ethnicity than you, but then go online and say hate filled things about people of other religions?

Just curious.

Is the KJV translation 1 Timothy 6:10a a poor translation of the original language, because Adam and Eve's, Cain's & Lucifer's sin seemed to have nothing to do with money. Not to mention many sexual sins have nothing to do with money (even though having money may aid in them.)

historians have no problem being called "Historians". i really don't see any problem with my suggestion. you keep on quoting the Bible, so what's wrong if people call you Biblians? why the sudden revulsion against the term "Biblians" when it is obviously derived from the word Bible?

I've begun meditating and some thoughts are very emotional (happy, with the idea of enlightenment, that there is a way to break free) and sometimes I cry, its hard to keep focused. Is it normal to do this and if so, how do i keep focused?

i don't understand why anyone would choose to be gay.

i understand why people would do other sins, for example:

while i don't condone it, i can certainly understand why some people commit adultery, the pressure to have a "fling" with another "newer" person is something that almost every indivdual finds themselves fighting at some point.
i can understand why some people steal. i am not rich but i have everything that i need to stay be "economically comfortable." but i imagine that if i was pretty dang poor and theft was a prevalent thing amoung the people i grew up with, i would probably feel more pressure to commit petty theft.

but, (especially as a straight male) i just don't understand why people would choose to be gay. most people who are gay discover their own sexual orientation at the same time as normal children do, why would they at that age, decide to go against what the bible says and be gay? considering that there are serious religious AND sociological consequences for being homosexual, why would anyone tell themselves, at 11,12, 13 years old "well, i guess i'm gonna be gay"?

I know not all of the Christians are like this but most of them are...

1. Quote Bible verses as their only proof for what they believe in.
2. Threaten others to hell if they do not believe.
3. CLAIM to be attacked by Atheists all the time when Christians are the ones who started it with #1and 2.
4. Are ignorant of most religions yet are quick to dismiss them.
5. Answer important questions with off-topic answers.
6. Patrol YA as a high and mighty missionary.
7. Answer questions about people wanting to learn about other religions and try to lead them away to Christianity.
8. See nothing wrong with # 1-7

Do you agree and what are your thoughts on this?
