Now, it also said, he "knew his wife" and she conceived and had Enoch. Where in the heck did Cain's wife come from if Adam and Eve were the only ones there besides the recently deceased Abel? Was Eve Cain's mother and wife? So, that would make Eve his mom and wife and Enoch, her grandson and son at the same time. Can you please explain this to me? I asked the Catholic nun this once, and was banished from morning mass thereafter. No one seems to have a clear cut answer.
So, why was incest condoned then, but not now? Why didn't God just take more ribs out of Cain and Abel (to create their mates, like Adam), that would have been easier.
Has anyone ever pondered this as well? And, why did Genesis 1:27 did God create Male and Female, and then in Gen. 2:22 again, create woman out of man's ribs. That's two women. One out of dust (Lillith) and the other more submissive woman: Eve, from the rib of Adam. Anyone wonder why you never learned this in Sunday School?

God and not the devil? I mean so many christians believe in Jesus, maybe Jesus is a lie sent by the devil himself?

1. Do not judge.
2. Do not kill.

People are always taking these concepts and saying, "see, see you christians are being hypocrites". The do not judge phrase means to not judge hypocritically or in an arrogant attitude. For example, if i tell you to not to smoke cigarrettes while im using chewing tobacco. we both got problems so i shouldn't judge him when i got the same problem. The do not kill phrase is actuallly stated as "do not murder". to murder someone is to do it intentionally. To kill someone is to do it because the aggressors made them. For example, an attacker shoots the man he is robbing=murder. Someone is attacking my wife, with a knife, and he won't respond to my calls of put the knife down=kill (self defense).

People in the name of the Christian Religion inflicted more horrors in 2 millenia than Nazi's did in a couple of decades? For some cultures, the Crucfix is akin to the Swastika. eg South American Natives invaded by Spanish Catholics Conquistidors.

If God is all-knowing, as the Bible claims, how can any individual not do what God knows that hw will do? This to me seems to be a simple straight forward question. To me, logic would dictate that the answer has to be no! How could one not do that which is already known to God to be what you will do? Does this not therefore neggate the concept of free-will? I do not like this thought, but my logic says that it must be so.

In Luke 1:43, Elizabeth calls Mary "the mother of my Lord". Protestants tell me Mary is not the mother of God, so I'm wondering just who they think IS Elizabeth's Lord, since it is not God.

It seems like most people who are drastically into religion are very close minded and stubborn. You can not have a civilized conversation where you can both express your points, views, and opinions. Why is this?

Religion is great. It teaches morals. But most people are so involved in religion that they are blind. Why don't they have the ability to rationalize and question what is logical and illogical? They respond like programmed robots automatically reading verses from literature. I guess my question is: Why aren't most religious people Free Thinkers?

I'm doing a project for religion class and I need to have images for concept and theme, and passage from the bible.

So for one of them I am doing Be Just: Justice
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied"

And another is
Be Alive: The 5th commandment
"You shall not kill"

What pictures or images do you think I can use for them? I can't think of any at all, especially for the Be Alive one. Can anyone help?

There is an ugly taunting strain of Christian increasingly afoot giving all other Christians a bad reputation, using religion as a cover for their politicking and prejudice they push an exaggeratedly homophobic interpretation of the religion and would deprive women of reproductive choice, Why are moderate Christians being bullied by these people and refusing to speak out against them?
