People in the name of the Christian Religion inflicted more horrors in 2 millenia than Nazi's did in a couple of decades? For some cultures, the Crucfix is akin to the Swastika. eg South American Natives invaded by Spanish Catholics Conquistidors.

I guess I am saying what the image would or has represented on a personal level to victims such as to tribes invaded by Christian soldiers.
It's not a statement about Christianity as a religion.

People in the name of humanistic atheism inflicted more horrors in 2 millenia than Christians did in 2 millenia. The entire rulers of Rome? Nazi's? Saddam? Stalin? Certainly they killed more people than Christians hurt.
The swastika was a mockery of the cross by the way.
Also look into your information of what a christian is. Christian does not equal anything related to Catholicism/cults branching of of those. Theres a reason people call them Catholics and other Protestant. Protestants are the Christians that started America and the most they did was kill "witches". I do not defend what they did, but i probably would at the time. It was common knowledge that witches could do things and it became common knowledge that there was no such thing as witches. If your thinking of the Crusades, well that was Catholics and it started out as a good thing, but they leaders corrupted it. It was intitially a defense of the city of Jerusalem.

You might be interested in the fact that John Adams (Founding Father and 2nd President of the United States) completely agrees with you.
---"As I understand the Christian religion, it was, and is, a revelation. But how has it happened that millions of fables, tales, legends, have been blended with both Jewish and Christian revelation that have made them the most bloody religion that ever existed?"
-- John Adams, letter to FA Van der Kamp, December 27, 1816
---"I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of the abuses of grief which the history of mankind has preserved -- the Cross. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!"
-- John Adams, letter to Thomas Jefferson, from George Seldes, The Great Quotations, also from James A Haught, ed., 2000 Years of Disbelief

Oddly enough the swastika design in found in indian blankets long before it was a nazi symbol. but it is found all over he world in art. it is a simple littel logo and anything but original. if i remembe right the cross was a consideration in choosing the swastika but also the wheel. they had to come up with something just like any other country or, for that matter, a million other groups, including the girl scouts.

Well, good point I guess. I am a Christian so I agree with your point that Christians have done a lot of terrible things. I would like to see where you get your numbers. I think many rulers and nations that were not Christian massacred many more than was seen by those claiming to be Christian. I think you can also look at history and see Christianity having an very positive effect on the world. The most free nations in the world have societies based on Judeo Christian values. Look at the many charities that were started by Christians.
