For you people who don't believe in Jesus, this should answer your question about why there is bad on earth.God gave us free will.
I've also been told that I put doubts in peoples belief in God by asking question like, if God can do anything then can he make a square Circle.
Also,Can God make something so heavy that he can't lift it?
If the answer is yes then why can't he lift it?
I'm not trying to change anyone of there beliefs.
I'm just trying to say as for yourself is God going to be there to save us after we die.Believeing or not.
I think it would be safer to Go by the word of good that Jesus wants us to follow as simple as that ,rather then not believe at all.
Is it going to hurt to follow words plain and simple?Love for one another, forgiving sinners, kindness, patiance, and understanding.
I also know that there are those of you nonbelievers that still do good, and you call it human nature. This may erk you but God created human nature so you're still following his world.

Lately, I've been thinking. Religiously, it seems like it would be great, but then again no. I see so many people who can't get pregnant wanting babies left and right. I don't plan to have anymore of my own unless God decides that for me (please oh please no not right now my son is only 11 months!!!). I was thinking of being a surrogate, mainly because so many women I know who can't have children asked me. What do you think?

Im hoping I get more than one or 2 of the same answer since I know not every non-christian is the same as another. But I was just reading a few threads of non-christians saying what Christians are like (most of it was a generalization) which included us being hateful, violent, better than everyone, retarded, and other colorful charecteristics. Now, I do sometimes see really nasty Christians here but there are a great deal of intelligent, compassionate and friendly ones too.

So what charecteristics do you personally look for to conclude "that person is a Christian"?

In the Epistle to the Romans 1:26-27 (TNIV), Paul writes

"Because of this [idolatry], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."

This has been described as "the most important biblical reference for the homosexuality debate" (Hilborn 2002, p.5). It is also the only explicit reference in the Bible to female homosexuality.

However, a minority of more recent interpreters (eg., Boswell 1980, p.109f; Vasey 1995, p.131f) argue that Paul does not have in mind a system of natural laws (as this is an Enlightenment concept) [2] and that "Paul did not discuss gay persons, but only homosexual acts committed by heterosexual persons" (Boswell 1980, p.109).

What are your opinions?

How do I tell the difference? Do I listen to the so called "true Christian", who judges another Christian by pointing him out as a "fake Christian", and with that judgmental act proves to be a "fake Christian himself?

I mean, it's truly complicated to separate the "real Christians" from the "fake Christians", really.

Is there a definition on both groups I could use?

Jesus - Matthew 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Muhammad - Bukhari, Vol 2, No. 167 "The sun eclipsed and the prophet jumped up terrified that it might be the Hour (of Judgement)"

*** Clearly, compared to Jesus, Muhammad does not even have what it takes to stand before God.

Handling Satan:

Jesus - Matthew 16:23 "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

Muhammad - ISHAQ:166 “‘You have recited to the people that which I did not bring to you from Allah, and you have said that which He did not say to you.’ The Messenger was grieved and feared Allah greatly.

*** Jesus courageously confronts Satan, Muhammad subjugates himself to Satan.

Im an atheist. I'm just wondering with everything thats out there like science, the fact there has been and still are more than one religion, (which suggest its more cultural as opposed to a finite truth), The fact that studies show prayer has no effect. Applying your life to a book that was written by a bunch of virtually non - educated (in the modern sense) at a time that history has shown there were many so called saviors or profits (people who have no education are usually much more gullible i guess) doesn't seem rational. Im not saying that there are no good points in religion but there have also been as equal or more bad points - like hating those who dont believe in you god and then killing them ;).
Basically i'm thinking this; why do you think your so special for believing in something that really can't stand on evidence; i.e faith? Why would God do that? It's really not efficient if God does want to prove God exist.
