yes, I'm sure he broke other commandments, too. But God, after that murder talked to Moses and Moses lived by God's guidance the rest of his life. Like all of us, Moses was a sinner. He had a real relationship with God, and obeyed God, but he slipped up and sinned, just like me and you. Christians are not perfect, but they do have God's love and forgiveness.

Killing is not against the 10 commandments. "Thou shalt not kill" would be better translated "thou shalt not murder". Murdering an innocent person is certainly against the 10 commandments. Moses came upon an egyptian guard who was abusing an isreali and he went in there to stop it and in the process the egyptian got killed. We don't know the details. The egyptian could have come at Moses with a sword or a knife but there's no reason to believe that the egyptian was innocent. I'm not saying that Moses couldn't have handled the situation in a better way but I think it's a stretch to accuse Moses of Murder.

Yes and Yes.

But before commandments were given. Moses was not sinless. He rebelled against G-d when he touched the rock to produce water as well. Moses had a temper! This is why he saw the promised land, but never entered it.

yes, Moses did kill an Egyption guard, and it was against the Ten Commandments. However, this happened before Moses decided to follow God, and long before the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. Also, everyone sins, it is Jesus that redeems everyone.

Yes, Mosed did kill a man of pharoah. This incidenet was before Moses (PBUH) given prophethood. Moses bychance witnessed a fight between an Israeli (one of his own tribe) and an egyptian. Moses defended his tribe man and gave a hit to the egyptian strong enough to kill him. Moses immediately asked God's forgiveness and God forgave him for his mistake. The other day when moses was walking through he saw the same Israeli fighting with other man this day and asking Moses's help. Moses said to him, ' Indeed you are a misleader'. For this reason Moses had to leave Egypt for couple of years and on His way back to Egypt He was given Prophethood. God chose him as a prophet. Let us not blame Moses. Man may unintentially make mistakes. But sincerely repenting to God will forgive that sin. Moses (PBUH) is a mighty prophet in Islam and all have to respect. Those who disrespect prophets are disrespecting themselves. They donot have a clean heart.

No, first of each and every of the Israelites have been following those rules already, and those rules some distance precede Egypt, they're right this moment from the Sumerians. Now think of approximately Abraham, the founding father of Judaism. He grow to be a Sumerian. Lived in Ur of the Chaldees, which grow to be in decrease Mesopotamia, which grow to be Sumer. larger Mesopotamia grow to be Babylon. The rules got here out of Sumer, the 1st actual known civilization, and unfold from there to Babylon, to Egypt, and so on. Abraham's family members call has been got here upon everywhere in the section, from Sumer to Babylon and previous, indicating that his family members grow to be very useful, very prosperous, and doubtless had a prepare of being Sumerian monks. Jewish custom teaches that those rules have been being accompanied already by skill of the Israelites long till now they have been written down at Mt. Sinai by Moses. And this could be because of the fact Abraham had in the past further them out from and surpassed down those rules.

Yes he did.

Had God issued the ten commandments prior to the killing??? No.

Still, Moses was punished. He was not allowed to cross over into the promised land because of that act.

That occurred before the 10 commandments existed.

Yes that is against the 10 commandments. But also notice that the 10 commandments had not be given yet.

But what does that matter? The Bible never said Moses was perfect. God uses imperfect people.
