first off, THERE IS NO PURGATORY. also, you don't go straight to hell or heaven when you die. instead, your soul just leaves your dead body which is now incapable of hosting this life-energy called "soul" and returns to the life-giver up there. it is in a passive state. not to be restored to an active state until all dead humans, past and future, is ressurected and their souls restored to them at the second coming of christ.

the ressurected and living faithful (now immortal), will rule with christ for 1000 years over all humans who did not have the chance to know him, or wasn't able to change. it is like probation period. and then they will be judged to either live eternally and rule the heavens, or die eternally (hell) and cease to exist.

Purgatory seems to be one of those made up Catholic things to scare children to not commit mortal/veneal sins. The Bible doe not mention Purgatroy and the bible also makes no distinction that one type of sin is better than another. A sin is a sin. Jesus died on the Cross to save us from ourselves and our sin. He wasn't looking for the best person, but instead went after the dreaded tax collector. (he' still dreaded today.) He didn't look for sin free people since no one is sinless. This is my own little version of sin. A sin is a fault and all of us are at fault in someway. If it wasn't for Jesus we would all go to hell instead of this made up place called purgurty.

Purgatory is not in the Bible. It is another invention of the Catholic church.

Since there are no Christian souls in pergatory, as the Bible teaches that the soul dies with the body and that the Spirit of Life we share with all forms of life, none being greater than the other. So, you're going to need to stipulate what non-Christian religion you're talking about.

I don't believe in purgatory. It is not in the Bible. After death you cannot have sin removed.

One who is steeped in sin and stubbornly attached to it, is not fit for heaven, but may not be evil enough to warrant an eternity in hell.

And that's a good thing, for sinners.

Nobody knows what a few thousand years of retraining might accomplish, or how grateful, and truly repentant one might be, when finally allowed to enter heaven, after such an experience.

There is no purgatory. That is a Catholic, man made belief, it is not spoken of in the bible at all.

According to the doctrine, it's either waiting a long, long time or torture-lite. The idea is purgation of remaining sin, purification of the not-quite- perfect for heaven.

TRUE CHRISTIANS do not believe in a Purgatory .
that was made up by the pop and his gang in the Vatican in1438! They have to have Maccabees in their Bibles to give it any hope of reality or truth. They were put in their bible in 1546.
