My husband and I have been going to church on a regular basis for about two months. (something neither one of us did before) I have learned so much and felt so close to God and my own spirituality. I am having a difficult time getting my kids to get into it. Am I wrong to just hope that they will follow our lead? I don't want them to feel like they have to go, like I did as a child. I didn't get anything out of it then. By the way this is a new kind of Christian Church with updated music (played by like a rock band). It really is upbeat and the sermons are totally about what is going on today. Help!?!

ok so theres god and then theres jesus, and since god is lord almighty why do we believe in jesus(well most of us), i mean jesus is set to be the guy who was always generous, kind, nice,etc, anyways, isnt everyone just a tad mean sometimes, cause if you think about it you cant always be happy, then theres something wrong with you, you need emotions dont you, anyway jesus wasnt always mr. nice guy, was he.....

In the 1800's- early 1900's, when american women were fighting for the rights that they have now, the pricipal roadblock was the entirety of the adherents of the christian faiths' view on what the bible said was a women's role in society (submit to your husband, stay quiet in church and in public)

in fact, as i understand, the only real supporter of women in this aspect were the secularists of that era.
for all christian history up until that point, it was the understanding of all of christians that the bible demanded that specific role for women. then, when women could no longer be denied rights like that, it all of sudden became conventional wisdom that the bible didn't really mean that and wasn't supposed to be interpreted that way. I think this is a huge gap in logic to think that christianity can collectively forget what was understood to be the bible view across all christian history. if i am mistaken here, please set me straight. what am i missing?

The Bible itself has some redundancy and contradictions. Although I’ve read only about 2/3 of it, I have enough knowledge of it to make a few arguments. Psalms 53:1 says, “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.” This is a very questionable premise. It is obviously not the case that all atheists do nothing but bad deeds. The statement is invalidated easily by a single example of an atheist doing a single charitable act.

Psalm 53 is inconsistent with other arguments within the same context. In the Bible, Jesus commands against the attack in Psalms 53:1, warning that, “whoever says ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire,” in Matthew 5:22. Psalm 53 is also identical to Psalm 14 – redundancy.

Despite the fact that he had to store hundreds of kinds of different centepedes, ants, sname, and praying mantises. BTW there are millions of subspecies. The whole world would be covered in water. This is where a problem arises.

If the whole world was covered in water, this would drown out all plant life on the land. ALso, the fresh water would have mixed with the salt water covering the whole world with salt water.(lets just say, since the world is 2/3's salt water, it would be mixed with 1/3 fresh. Thats still a high concentration of salt water. Not as potent as it is now, but its still potent.) Not only would this be devestating to fresh water creatures, they would all die because of it. Also the salt water creatures, many of them would die because of the lack of salt to water ratio.

Oh yeah and if the salt got into the ground, it wouldnt allow plants to grow for a while, because its toxic. How would all these animals survive if all plants where destroyed due to the flood?

I see alot of answers to questions about Christians or Christianity and they either make fun of it, or say they don't believe in it because it either doesn't exist or that it's all fairytales.

To me I feel that you say it because there is something about it that offends you.

Or is it the fact that Jesus himself said I AM THE WAY, the truth and the life, no one comes unto the Father, but by ME!

Meaning that nothing we can do will get us into heaven. That we can only get to heaven by accepting Jesus Christ.

Well In know I should probably just ask someone fromt eh Masjid or rather my parents but I don't now why i feel embarrasses and this is stuff AI probably should klnow but Ya I have a bunch of Questions so if you could answer any of them it would be great...

1. On the prayer times from Islamicity.com there is a prayer between fajr and Zuhr called Shorook what is that?
2. If you don't have a clean place to praY(I.E. Dog troubles) would it be worse to not pray or pray ina place that isnt "Clean".
3. Would the place be considered clean if I put down a clean blanket and the a prayer mat.
4. when doing Wudu are you supposed to wash your right and left foot just once or three times?
5. If you go to school and miss two prayers.. should you make them up or not worry about them... if you should make them up sghould that eb before or after school?
