Some people are offended by it because it's not a "have it your way" kind of spirituality. It's about serving God and since people these days are more individualistic with the "what's in it for me" attitude, they'd want something that would help serve themselves rather than their Creator. An example of this is the freakshow called Hollywood; actors and actresses believe getting "spiritual" is trendy but serving God is beneath them.
Homosexuality is also a no-no and some people just can't get that through their heads.

We can stand some christian, but only the openminded intellectual ones, which sadly, are lacking.
Their bible is based on fables and false miracles and things that have no proof, and the proof they do find was history that was changed by the church to cover its own @ss to make itself more believable.
Read "the pagan christ" it explains how prettu much, the whole "christ story" has been repeated through history tens of thousands of years before christ was even born.
Like. horus, mithra, saturn, they all has 12 deciples, died to save mankind, has a last supper of bread and wine,
Its the same story!!! just with diffrent names and christianity merely made in monotheistic, and then brainwashed its followers into believing this was an actual even that happened not to long ago.
when christians die, they will see their heaven and hell were all in their heads, then they will see, it was all a fraud.

What is offensive to me is that Xtians are very judgmental and often case stones. They have waged war on any who disagree with them for 2000 years and led expeditions into genocide and misogynist eradication's. If you are truly a follower of Christ he said do not cast the first stone, to always forgive, and to pray on behalf of those that are lost. I do not see many of his so called followers doing these things. So many wear the WWJD bracelets and never even consider what it means. I am Pagan, I used to be Xtian. I am much happier now.

What many people (myself included) find offensive about Christians and Christianity in general is that many (not all) Christians try to ram their personal beliefs down our throats and are not willing to adopt a live and let live policy. Many other religions folllow this path also which lead me away from the main stream religions and to my religion. If the Christians were willing to back off and keep to themselves there would probably be less agression directed at them. Before anyone gets all mad I do understand that NOT ALL Christians act this way. I know several who don't. But many do.

Hello =)
Awwwwww.......
You were doing so good.....until you started with the "facts"......
I realize that you aren't trying to offend.....
But what if I said something like.......
You're a really nice guy aside from the FACT that you masturbate in front of pictures of General Francisco Franco??
You see...it's not a proveable fact.....it MIGHT be true....I've written it down, so there may be those who now BELIEVE it to be true....but there is no way that we can determine it to be a FACT... It is merely a belief that he said this..... and there is nothing wrong with your belief......I encourage belief in the various religions of man.....they serve their purpose.......
When you start stating things from the Bible as your BELIEFS, instead of FACTS, then people won't get so offended...trust me.....
Also...read the Book of James......he was Christs own brother, of course.....and while, of course, accepting Christ was a cornerstone of his teachings, he also said it was necessary to act in a Christian way.....JUST accepting Christ was not enough..it was a prerequisite, of course, but it was not ENOUGH to enter the kingdom of heaven.....you also had to be respectful of others, and not "use the mouth that praises god to criticize others"...... Read some James....it will do you some good.....
State your beliefs as beliefs, and not FACTS.....I have some rather strange beliefs.....if I stated them as FACTS, you would be offended as well.....
Namaste,
--Tom

It's not so much Christianity that offends me, it's the Christians that insist I'm a horrible person with no morals just because I don't believe as they do. It's the Christians that have a problem with the way I live my life that offend me.

I don't find the religion of Christianity to be offensive and I feel it's great for those who believe in it. However, a small portion of those believers can be very offensive.

There are many reasons why people believe or disbelieve. The hostility comes from damming Christians. The hostilities just keep feeding on each other.

I'm not offended by Christianity, as such, or any religion for that matter.
I do get offended, whenever somebody tells me I will go to Hell for eternity for not believing the way they do. It is a small-minded, petty, ignorant, self-righteous, vindictive, hateful and stupid thing to say. It is also a fascist idea.

I don't have a problem with the beliefs of Christianity, even though it is not the right path for me.
Christians, however, are another story altogether. I think if more Christians actually lived their lives by the faith they claim to follow, the world would be a better place.

I find nothing offensive about Christianity. I have problems with people of any denomination trying to force their beliefs on me. Unfortunately Christians and Atheists seem to do it the most..
