I've got news for you. George Bush might be some religious - but is NOT deeply devout. How do I know? A deeply devout leader would NOT try to force Israel to give up her lands at any price. George Bush contends that God chose him to devise a Two State presence - Palestine and Israel.
There is no Biblical precedent for some mere man dividing Israel up and giving it away to a people who claim to be the descendants of the Philistines (which they are not). The Philistines were completely decimated from off the face of the Earth and any survivors were absorbed into other cultures. The current so called Palestinians are from an ancient Grecian seafaring peoples.
Roman Emperor Hadrian destroyed Israel and hated Jews so intensely he renamed Israel to Palestine - to spite the Jews. Palestinians never had a sovereign nation named Palestine. This is historical fact. Hadrian even stripped the rich soil from Israel turning her into a wasteland. Please note - the Jews today are transforming Israel back into a place of beauty.
Non the less - Bush is going against the Bible perspective on this one, and the God of the Bible gave him no such instructions. So he maybe religious - just his own religious ideas apart from the Bible.
The Old Testament makes it quite clear that the ancient lands of Israel, belong to Israel and will be restored. Jesus when he came, never said anything to the contrary, except made prophecy that Israel would fall, just as prophesied in the Old Testament. However - God said in the old testament that Israel would be restored as a nation.
Israel did indeed fall. And indeed, according to prophecy, rose again from the ashes in the face of overwhelming odds and became a nation again in 1948. She also strengthened that position again in the face of overwhelming odds (outnumbered and outgunned both times) in 1967's Six Day War.
And Bush and the world leaders dare take what God gave the Jews away from them? Nope. Bush is not a Bible believer.

America would be better off with an atheist president, because he would not give precedence to one religious affiliation over any others, and he would base his decisions purely on what is for the greater good of America, without being influenced by the prophecies of whatever religion he follows. It's no coincidence that the Bible calls for the re-establishment of Israel and our unilateral support for that country which has different laws for different races (something which is totally un-constitutional).
God did not choose GWB to lead this nation, we the people did, for better or for worse.

Yes because his deeply held religious beliefs have too great of an influence on how he runs this nation. He also can't keep from mentioning his religion while making speeches.

Yes, I think so. But then again, I doubt that Bush is at all religious. If he was, we wouldn't be in the mess we are now. Bush is one thing and one thing only. A Liar.
