You're telling ME. My mom made me wear pantyhose every Sunday till I was 12. Now THAT is "cruel and unusual" punishment.

My kid loved it at my church the kids would go and play games hear stories see there friends. He used to cry when he would have to leave church because he wanted to stay and play with his friends at church .
If you don't expose kids to new things How will they be able to tell if they would like it or not or decide to believe or not believe.
Not to mention, This way children hopefully learn to sit still and behave. To be able to get along with all different types of people..

School just doesn't socialize children well since the teacher so busy correcting them all day long they get about 4 to 5 minutes if lucky of education.
This would be like saying well the kid hates school guess we shouldn't educate them. Yet we force kids to learn every day because it is for there good for them to learn wither we teach them at home or home school them. All children must learn there ABC math etc to learn to get along in the world.Just like all children should learn of religion to be tolerant of others Weither the parents teach them at home or church. Weither they choose to belive why or why not in a kindley manor.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Why does that same denomination have children that grow up to be respectable adults, don't have STD's, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, drug and alcohol addictions, respect authority in school and employment, are honest and dependable, and on and on and on.

This isn't to say that none have those problems, they are not perfect, but by far, the vast majority grow up to be what society needs rather than selfish people that are only looking out for themselves like most of society is nowadays.

At least they are not out joining gangs because no one at home is paying them any attention. I rather drag them around all weekend as you say then let them stay home alone for some gang member to recruit them because they can't get enough attention from their caregivers.

Kids look up to there parents and want to be involved in there cherished activities. Spending quality time and sharing your beliefs with your children no matter what you do should be honored not ridiculed.

trying to figure out what you mean for sure. most the time if you go out to door knock it is for about an hour. and most do it once a week or so. not everyday. and as far as kids playing there are many toys that parents let there kids play with that are not good. and many more that are not to bad as long as kids dont watch the tv show that goes with it.

however most people that i know who door knock we useally designate a person at our church or 2 to stay with the kids so they dont go with us. or we usually find someone who will watch them. and a lot of times our kids love going out. my son is 6 and daughter is 3 and they enjoy going. it is good exercise as well.

my ???? was wondering if you meant door knocking or just to church. because most churches only have 2 services a week. and sometimes 3. most are sund. morning and some have a evening service and then one during the week.

and again our kids love to go to church as well. and a couple times a week for a couple hours is not that bad. it is better then just letting them watch tv and not do a thing with them. because most parents out there let there kids watch tv and play with toys so that they dont have to pay attention to there kids. we dont have a tv so we spend a lot of time with out kids outside church. and when we do anything for God they love it. our son and daughter will get a long gox and set it up like a pulpit and they will start to worship God and lift there hands and praise him. and sing. nothing against parents how they raise there kids. but we get complemented so much like in public when we go out to eat how well our kids behave. or at peoples house how well our kids share. most kids out there are rude and dont share and scream when they are out and dont get what they want.

i dont get on this to tell other parents how to raise there kids and i would hope the same back to me. going to church kids are taught right and wrong.
