You guys aren't that different. Muslims think that Muhammad went to heaven on a flying horse and Christians think Jesus is comming back on a flying horse.
What's amusing is that both of you think that the other's belief is insane.

What would it take for me to convince you that both beliefs are equally insane?

When will you both lay down your primitive bronze-aged world views and embrace reason?

Why do you follow dogmas that throughout history (and modern times) have impeded science, brought wars, senseless murders and misery to the lives of millions?

Many believe there is a beginning, and an end. What is in the future in the Muslim belief?

Christians ask have you become or when did you become saved.
The truth of the matter is, I haven't been saved once.
I fall into what they call sin all the time. One time I was doing the walk of life and tripped into a hole full of sin.I begged for Jesus to forgive me and then I was drowning in sin.Again jesus came to my rescue.
I don't just become saved and then its all over.Jesus saves me all the time.
One time my car died in 40 below winter in the middle of nowhere land.I screamed for Jesus to forgive my sins that I've done in the past cause I really truley believed it was my end to life as i knew it.My vehicle started up again. This happened more then once.
I hate the sound of christian music. It sounds so LA la la
That dosn't mean that God isn't with me either.I don't go to religious groups and still God saves me everyday. How do you Christians feel about that.I love rock-n-roll.Led zep and the band Kiss and still God never stops saveing me.Amen

I won't be a Christian.. I don't agree with it, the end.

She doesn't preach at me, very rarely.. but I know that is her attitude. She said this to me once and I know she still believes this.

If I was raised the 'way I should go', then I would still be in that way... why can't she see that just maybe I was raised the way I should NOT go...?

Especially those of you who judge others, hate based on sexual orientation, race, religion, skin color.
Seriously why do you think your even worthy of being saved? Just because you ask for it???

We're all entitled to our own. We can all agree that there is suffering in the world. Supposedly God is all knowing and all powerful, so if he allows this and is content with it then: I'd rather be a protestor in the afterlife than an asskisser in the current life.

The Old Testament was written 3000+ years ago, The New Testament was written after Christ's death. Christ left no written words. Both the Old and the New Testaments have been revised and interpreted many times through the years. The official Bible was adopted some time during the 4th Century AD at various Councils sanctioned by Emperor Constantine, with certain transcripts included and others excluded. Given all that, we are to believe that every word in the Bible is inerrant and "inspired by God"?

I don't know about you, but I'm not always an open minded person. When telemarketers, call I'm not remotely open minded. I'm also not open minded about licking circuit breakers or taking crack cocaine.

So where does GOOD open mindedness being and bad open mindedness end? I can't help but muse that many Christians criticize others as close minded but have little interest in what Pagans and Wiccans (or atheists?) have to say.

So, are you open minded? To what are you open minded and to what are you close minded?

I have noticed a strong trend in preaching these days that bases Gods word on the 12 step program and postive affirmations and constant reassurance. I do believe that there is no mess that we get ourselves into that Jesus cant fix, I have been there myself.

However, when one makes a mess they need to confess it to the Lord and repent and see what amends need to me made and there is an accountablity involved and yes contray what is preached today there is consequences for sin.

My question is this which would you rather have preached to you, what I listed above or a mature realistic gospel that would convict a person to grow and flourish by being accountable.

I would appreicate good meat of the word honest answers and godly Bible verses as well. Thank you and the Lord bless you.

I just asked five questions in a row, all the same except for one word:

Why did Jews do 9/11? >allowed to stay

Why did Christians do 9/11? >removed immediatly

Why did atheists do 9/11? >allowed to stay

Why did the ACLU do 9/11? >allowed to stay

Why did Christians do 9/11? >removed immediatly again

Can anyone explain this to me? Isn't this proof of pro-christian bias? Do you think it's because the Christians whine so much more than everyone else?

It doesn't even have to be religious, though that's fine if it is. It can even be silly. All I ask is that it be a belief--not a proven fact, but an opinion you hold that others might disagree with. (This question popped into my head whilst Jibba Jabba Prime's questions were making me ponder my perceived superiority of Macs, something I'm far more likely to argue about than religion any day...)

I am christian, but my daughter asked me question that i am not sure how to answer her. When a person first becoems a christian, and is filled with the holy spirit. He then trully repents of his sins and asks for forgiviness, At thsi point this is where my daughter question lies: Can he really be considered sinless at that very moment? Yes or no. and your reasoning.

originally there were over 10.000 hadits, but now only about 80 are believed by muslims, and even those are stupid. same goes for suras, those too have been reduced to 114 from about over 800 originally.
to muslims who say the quran is pure and unchanged i sak, why so many changes to hadits and suras?
