Short version:
Yes, we're sinless as long as we can hold out! :)
God has shown how spiritual transformation and forgiveness occurs throughout human history and used His own, perfect son to live and die in perfection and in a life-long rite of forgiveness on the world's behalf.
Long version:
In the bible when people first become christian at baptism it is called both a death and a second birth. The word used in original Greek (baptismo) was used, at the time, to describe sunken, 'dead', ships. The first major thing about this is the death of the body and it's sins. (Mark 16:16) This is also an individualized version of the cleansing flood of Noah's day.
James 5:15 is a good example of the power of the prayer of a faithful person, but where does Christ get that power? In both his perfect life and sacrifice.
Ancient Hebrews would make sacrifices of their very best animals/plants/etc.. to hide their sins, but only once a year were they actually cleansed by God. The High Priest went into 'Holy of Holies' within the 'Holy Place' and perform ceremonial duties on the one day of the year the presence of God was there. Jesus is known as the Highest High Priest and his death 'tore down' the 'veil' between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies, putting all the normal preists in contact with God's presence through prayer to Christ. Since Christ lives with God in Heaven, he is always there to speak to the Father for us.
-------
Anyway, long story short, between the time we ask for forgiveness as believers and our next sin, if it comes, we are made sinless and pure by the awesome power packed into Christ's life and death.

A person becomes a Christians by believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins and therefore today when we accept Him as our Savior and the way. We are made Holy just as He is holy. So once we accepted Christ, we have His righteousness and in the eyes of God, we are as beloved and sinless as Christ. Keep in mind that ALL our sins had already been bored by Jesus and God already punished our Lord. So this is why we have eternal life because we are ALWAYS right with God.
I know it's too good to be true but it's true anyway. All in the bible. Shalom.

The Bible says that We are all Sinners and come short of the Glory of God.
However, through and by Jesus Christ we have a hope. A new life and a new heart. We are not sinless; we are however forgiven. We will be sinless in our new body when we enter Heaven.

No, we are never sinless. We have a corupt and sinful nature. That's why we need Jesus so bad. Once we repent and turn from our ways we try to live a life that is pleasing to God. But because we are sinners, we will still stumble. At that point we repent again and move on. We are sinners.

Tell your daughter this comparison.
Say sin has a color and it is red. Everyone can see it. But when the blood of Jesus provides a covering over us, it is also red and it blocks out the red stain of sin from the eyes of God. All He can see when he looks at us is our sinless perfection. I thank God continually for this provision for us.
That might be a little simplistic, but the answer to your daughter's question is this:
Sinless? nope, not from man's eyes.
Sinless? yep, from God's perspective, because of the pure and perfect blood of the Lamb of God.

We never become sinless in this life. We were conceived in sin, born in sin and we remain in sin until we die. However, as we have accepted the perfect human life of Jesus Christ as a replacement for our sinful inheritance from Adam and Eve, we stand in Jesus' shadow, so to speak. Because of this, God is able to view us as sinless in spite of our sinful, human nature. Stand apart from Jesus' shadow (or do your own thing) and again God sees us as sinful and imperfect. That is somewhat simplified but you didn't say how old your daughter was.

At that very moment, I would say yes. However, keep this in mind...we are human beings, and as such we will continue to sin. We will only become truly sinless when we reach Heaven.

You are not sinless. We all struggle with sin, but sin should no longer be our God. We have sin, but we are no longer classified as sinners. Jesus took on our sin and gave us His righteousness
(1Corinthians 15:34) Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
(2Corinthians 5:21) For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
The Blood of Jesus has washed our sin away. It is only when we continue to practice sin that we fall into trouble and we need to repent.

Yes.2nd Cor.5:17. "Therefore,if any man be in Christ,he is a new creature, old things are passed away;behold, all things are become new". It's like being reborn, before you ever sinned.
