I am just wondering about the various beliefs in different religions about masturbation and why or why not it is considered a sin in different belief systems.

then why did he allow it. the amount of tension/anxiety/stress a human endures through life...is that really worth it. is life truly worth living... when you see so much evil/injustice and suffering in the world. and you are helpless and cannot do anything to change it. why did god not stop the evil people? and if he did not then is he wrong? and if god is wrong then how can he be god? i am really confused. i would appreciate some good answers. thanks.

When people ask" have you been saved" does that mean by asking god to come into your heart ,and turning your life over to christ? Or does it mean being babtized in a church?? growing up my family only went to church on holidays so i am pretty new to "religion" except that i do believe in god and i have told god to come into my life.Is that what "saving is about?"There is so much i do not understand, but want to learn.

LIKE IT OR NO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH CENSORED THE BIBLE SO TO ALL OF YOU THAT SAY THAT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH ISN'T FOLLOWING THE BIBLE. THE VATICAN HAS A HUGE BIBLE THAT IS ONLY FOR THE POPES AND HIGH LVLED PRIEST TO READ. THE CONTENTS OF THIS DOCUMENTS ARE UNKOWN.

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH OFFICIALS KNOW MORE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST THAN ANY OTHER CHRISTIAN GROUP?

What is your desire for this upcoming year? Mine is peace. Not a false peace, but a true peace and settling down of animosities. God is bigger than any of us. We, with our limited senses and knowledge, can not know the whole truth of God. So I ask that all people, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Agnostic, Atheist and more, will be more tolerant and respectful of one another. I may come across as grumpy. I do have my bad days and will show it. But, I truly wish to see us get along.

So, to my online friends and all of you, have a wonderful, peaceful new year. Take care of one another, and even reach out to those who are lacking or alienated by themselves or others. Blessings upon you all.

Do you think this prayer will ever be answered so that God’s will really will be done here on earth? . . . (Isa. 55:10, 11; Rev. 21:3-5)’

it says its a true statement and if someone disagrees should I kill them?
i.e- there is a god, this is a true statement, those who agree are good, those who disagree are evil, the good must punish the evil.
If I want to be good then who should I kill first to help protect the good from the evil?
(Dear fundermentalists this is only a hypothetical question for me, I do not want to sign up, I love humanity-disapprove of flags and bombs and religion.)

I am a Christian, and i hope that ppl get the drift when I say I do not "do" organized religion." but it seems they don't pick up on it at all. I mean,IMHO,Chrisitianity is in the heart, religion is not. I am approached by well-meaning Christians with offers to go to their church, especially now since my hubby and I have seperated after 10 years of marriage. He is a Mormon, and to me,their religion is very pushy about ppl remaining married. We are far better and more comfortable being seperated, that we ever were married. We spend time together and the kids ( two ) get to see daddy alot. There is a guy who attends hubby's church, who lives in my complex, and he is VERY pushy about my going back to the LDS church. I have told him repeatedly,I do not wish to go back. he thinks I am joking, and says, " You know u want to go back. In your heart, you want to go back". I know if I go back,I will face judgemental ppl,as I kicked hubby out, he didn't leave us on his own.

"There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience"

Isn't the apparent that the Sabbath should still be kept? Obviously from Matthew 12 Jesus did not say, "You do not need to keep the Sababth anymore" he said, "Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath" (verse 12)

Thanks for taking time to read this, i look forward to seeing valuable insights. PS: please do not spam the answers with tarot being blasphemous to your *Cough* religion. i believe in it and there are many other people who share the same view. Please be sensitive towards others' beliefs.
