I am a Christian,and i hope that ppl get the drift when I say I do not "do" organized religion." but it seems they don't pick up on it at all. I mean,IMHO,Chrisitianity is in the heart,religion is not. I am approached by well-meaning Christians with offers to go to their church,especially now since my hubby and I have seperated after 10 years of marriage.He is a Mormon,and to me,their religion is very pushy about ppl remaining married. We are far better and more comfortable being seperated,that we ever were married. We spend time together and the kids ( two ) get to see daddy alot. There is a guy who attends hubby's church,who lives in my complex,and he is VERY pushy about my going back to the LDS church. I have told him repeatedly,I do not wish to go back. he thinks I am joking,and says, " You know u want to go back. In your heart,you want to go back". I know if I go back,I will face judgemental ppl,as I kicked hubby out, he didn't leave us on his own.

To be honest you are going to have a time with him. The LDS are a cult they look like christians, sound like christians and are headed straight to hell. Same as the Mormons, the Catholics and alot of other real fine religious folks. Get some anti-LDS stuff off the internet and ask him to expalin it to you keep asking him every time he comes over. He will stop coming over.
You know why they are pushy about people remaining married! Cults grow there own when they can. Eaiser to brain wash them that way.

Well, after everything you have been through, I can see your point.
I grew up in church where if you weren't part of "their church" then you weren't anything.
I can tell in your heart through your words you truly believe in Christ. Good! But, Christianity is not a "do it yourself" religion. The Apostle Paul wrote earnestly in the book of hebrews Chap 10 v.25 "...let us not forsake the assembling together of ourselves even more as we see the day approaching..." Well, Christ is coming back and we need to be ready for His return. And part of being ready is being in fellowship with other Christians around you.
I too came up through a church where it was all about doing what they tell you to do and not so much about the love and grace of Jesus Christ. You are already learning to see the difference.
Our brothers and sisters in Christ are supposed to be there to support one another and help us keep on track with Jesus. I hope you can find a group of people who worship Jesus and will love you with their whole hearts. It will make all the difference in the world.
Now for the other side of this issue....
There are substantial differences between Mormonism and Christianity. Lots of serious claims that you need to seriously sit down and read about and talk with someone about. Here are a few websites where you can go and see for yourself. John Ankerberg is a great Christian Author and Teacher who has written many good books on subjects like this.
Chuck Smith, founder of an independent fundamental Christian group called Calvary Chapel out of Costa Mesa California has done much extensive research on other religions and groups. I'm not a part of CC but any Calvary Chapel pastor would be happy to talk with you and help you understand what's going on.

I notice that you mentioned that you don't want to go back to face judgmental people. That's not to say that you don't go because you don't want to deal with organized religion, yours seems like a personal issue of continuing acceptance by the church members. I don't believe in organized religion because of the fake people and greed involved. The bigger the church the more people the more people the more money and I can't be involved in that. I was an avid church goer years ago and I became disillusioned when the pastor started talking about building this huge church and that's all he talked about coming and going and it took away from the church and I couldn't go anymore.

Good for you.
You just tell them how you have confessed Jesus Christ your Lord, and believed in your heart Jesus raised from the dead victorious.
That you are born again, reborn spiritually, and you pray to Father God whenever you want or need to, 24/7 in spirit and truth. Because you are anointed with the Holy Spirit of Truth who leads you into all truth and isn't a liar. And the Holy Spirit teaches you all things and reveals truth in the Holy Bible (1John2:27). That you don't need anyone to teach you but the anointing you received abides in you and teaches you. That you have wisdom above your fellows.
Christianity is a relationship restored with God and not so much religion.
Also the Mormon book adds to & changes Gods message of His Saving Grace. The Mormon church is very religious, but the Grace message isn't there. So, I wouldn't go there either. I had in the past, but God told me clearly, "No.".
Also, In your personal prayer time, ask God for the faith Bible based church for you. There is a special blessing , Holy Spirit outpouring that you shouldn't miss out on. Especially now, as the age of Christ is nearing. It is written to not forsake you assembly with others in faith. That is where we can worship and love on God and God renews us in the Holy Spirit filling. Anyway, that was part of the News Years message yesterday.

Pushy people need reminders that are both subtle and effective. Perhpas pepper spray, a restraining order, a size 6 shoe to the groin, a percussion grenade, the bite of a large dog, a side-kick to the kneecap or other subtle techniques (perhaps some in combination) will work, but generally, you might have to be more blunt about it. Softer techniques as above don't often get the message across.

God's love is to be shared with other people. It's called Biblical community. Yes, Christianity is in the heart, but remember, surrendering to God is more important than individual pride. Feeding off other Christian's support is essential. I don't think God wants one of his sheep to go off on his own from the rest of the flock. You may face challenges in life where you'll need other fellow Christians' support. Constant nagging may be a sign that maybe you should go back to church. In every sense, it is the right thing to do. And besides, what harm could be done from being with people who love God as much as you do?

Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
The above scriptures show that it is God's desire that we continue fellowshipping in a body of Christ when we become Christians. We need to know God's word as is taught in the fellowship, know and receive our spiritual gifts, develop the fruit of the Spirit and serve in the calling God has for our lives. However it is important that you go to a church that God wants you to be a part of and for this you need God's direction (1 Cor 12:18). We need to follow God's plan and desire for our lives to live Jesus' promise of abundant and fruitful life. The whole purpose is that we develop an intimate relationship with Jesus as the first priority. Joining a fellowship is God's desire for every Christian.

You have a right to make a new start for yourself and your family. Ignore these people who are pushy. Just pretend they are offering you a slice of a mud pie. It's not something you want. looking on whether you think of God exists in this worldwide and may well be reached via human beings in prayer and so on., or makes Himself basic, you would be a theist, and in case you basically concept God created the worldwide, and would not contain Himself in it, a deist. Do you think of you have not have been given any sin? Or do you think of you do have sin? it somewhat is the defining difference that i've got faith Christians have. (i don't basically like the be conscious, inspite of the shown fact that, as a results of fact of ways many misuse it).

Christianity IS in the heart primarily -- BUT it must find its expression externally. All Christians are called to community and to common worship. Believe it or not you need to see the witness of others and others need to see you expressing your faith publicly.
Most well-meaning Christians will understand....the Mormon neighbor is another issue -- sounds like he's crossing the line for harrassment!
