I think God loves them as much as he does couples who don't swing, and I think God has more important things to worry about than what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms. Too bad so many Christians don't have better things to do, too.
I've often wondered... Can you imagine God, before the Creation, talking to (among?) Himself (like when he said, "Let US make man in OUR own image...")... Can you imagine Him saying, "Hey, I have an idea... Let's create something, we'll call it 'sex,' and make it so incredibly wonderful and the need for it so irresistable that both men and women will yearn for it, kill for it, die for it... And then let's create a bunch of rules about it, and tempt them severely and incessantly to break those rules (or create a devil to tempt them)... And then when they do break those rules, and they will, then let's throw them into the eternal lake of fire for punishment..."
That doesn't sound like any loving God that I would want to know, let alone worship.
How about another scenario... God says, "Let's create this wonderful thing and call it sex. Let's give that joyous gift to everyone and let them share in it and enjoy it as much as they want!" And then several men write books, which get compiled into the Bible, and then they say it is "the Word of God." And then a prophet, then a rabbi, then a priest, then a protestant minister, all in turn realize that sex is one of the most basic human needs, and therefore they can use it to manipulate and control people. So it gets incorporated into the book of sins, and these leaders tell people they will go to hell if they utilize this great gift that God has given them, but that THEY, the leaders, can lead them to salvation in return for their obedience (and tithes and other contributions).
That second scenario sounds much more plausible to me, and much more respectful and complimentary to God. "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars [or God], but in ourselves..."
As for "swinging"... I once knew a couple who were swingers. I asked them, sincerely, "How can you do this? Don't you love each other?" The husband said, "We love each other more than most couples do! My wife loves me enough, and trusts me enough, to give me anything I want. Even if that 'anything' is another woman for an evening of shared fun. Does your wife love you enough to do that for you? Or does she deprive you of the thrill and variety of having new sexual experiences, or of the sexual experiences that she doesn't, or can't, or won't give you?"
By the way, that couple are professional people, attend a swinger’s club and "swingers parties" almost weekly, love each other very much, and have been very happily married for many years.
I'm not a swinger, but I've never been able to find an honest, intellectual argument against that logic. Does your God love you enough to give you anything you want? Does your spouse? Do you love and trust your spouse that much? Is love about giving, or taking, freedom or bondage, what you want or what your lover wants?
So the short answer to your question is, I think that religion does not necessarily equate to morality, and that it is humans, particularly religious humans, and not God who condemn people who "swing."

I am all in favor of swinging. Especially on a warm night when the moon is shining. I prefer a nice wooden swing. Just a swinging.

Neither of them are hurting anyone, and they are living lives they enjoy filled with a harmonious relationship under the sacriment of matrimony... In other words, he's going to burn them in hell for all eternity because they're adulters

That it is adultery. That serious and sad consequences will follow to bring them to their true selves. Consequences which pain God greatly. The divorce rate for swingers is astronomical. I believe God would grief greatly over people mistaking sex as a mere bodily function rather than a highly interpersonal bonding of two lives.

I don't think he cares about the marital status of the person, as long as it is consensual and the two participants love each other.

You mean who "sins".
You already know what God has said about marriage and adultery. And frankly you don't care what God or anyone else thinks.
John 8:11 "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."
God, not man, judges.

He hates it. Marriage is sacred. It is a covenant and should not be broken.
