I love the Roman Catholic Church.
Without it I would never have learned the truth about God and Jesus.

Thumbs up for ignorance, use of caps, and abreviation via the word "lvled", you gain 300 spiritual experience points, you have now reached lvl 6!

Though honestly, all documents available to the roman catholic church are available to everyone else, they don't have a monopoly on anything, there are religious documents and accounts of Christ's life that aren't contained in the bible but the're available to everyone.

The hidden kernel of knowledge in this rant of yours is of course that catholic priests actually study these things in great depths, especially dominicans, and look into the philosophy of these things as well as the less known texts. Ministers in other forms of christianity often don't happen to study anything other than the bible as it is presented to them. Now as to whether these texts are worth studying or not is debatable, but I'd think the exposure to more data is helpful, even if one has to parse the data to a greater extreme.

This also points out how ridiculous it is for fundimentalists to view the bible as an infallible literal document, as it was compiled by those they don't agree with and regard as fallible. If God only allowed complete truth to enter into the bible, wouldn't he continue to allow only truth to enter into the faith that created it?

PS: Censorship doesn't imply a bad thing, there are gospels, just as credible as the ones in the bible in which Jesus spoke out against women... The catholic church chose not to put these in the bible... It doesn't mean that they feared it, or that it was necisarily untrue, just that it would take away from the message, seems to contradict another part, and seems to reflect the views of the authors.

1. Your comments would usually tend to be taken more seriously when you don't put them all in capitals. It has something to do with internet psychology. Capitals give the impression of screaming.
2. If it is true that the Catholic Church censored the Bible, then they obviously didn't follow it. You censor something you don't approve of, or you think will be harmful.
3. Does the church follow the Bible? It depends which church. Some church make a serious effort to follow the Bible. We all sin, we all fall short, but we can be sincere about seeking to follow the Bible.

I would surely like to know where you got your information..In case you are not aware of the fact.... during the 1300 AD period, there was a determined split in the church. From that time on there were deletions from the Bible. Those deletions have been condensed in another volume. Much larger than the Bible itself. You may be able to find it in the archival libraries somewhere. You need to read it and then make this outlandish statement again.

The catholic church has eliminated one of the 10 commandments.. and then replaced it.. They pray to idols, they do not go into their private room to pray in secret.. as is commanded within the Bible. I can go on for many more paragraphs but, what is presented so far is undeniable...and you know it!!

Thus making hour entire premise a falsity.

The Church consists of more than the Roman Catholic Church! Anyone who has placed their faith in Jesus is a part of the body of Christ. Therefore they belong to the Church!
I am sure these priests and others that you are talking about do know more about the Bible then the average Catholic but I bet they do not know more than they born again pastors and their members?

Knowledge is useless if it is not put to use! the Catholic Church is only one among religions that does not follow the Bible they used to read scriptures at Church in the Latin language to keep people from understanding the Bible I am an ex Roman Catholic and it is because of the Catholic false teachings that I left the Catholic religion in the first place, because even though I did not know what the Bible says I saw the hypocracy and falseness in the Roman Catholic Church and it still is the same.

I disagree. The bible is God's word and you're saying there is another one tatally different and we don't know what it contains. Obviously that bible was written many years after the known bible and far from the truth. If it was truth, the Catholic officials should allow others to read it so they may see if this "bible" is God's word by comparing it to the known bible.

Please tell us more. I have been Catholic all my life and I can assure you "censor" is not the correct description. The books of the bible were decided without protestant input because they did not yet exist! If you look closely at a Catholic bible, you will find there are more books than a Protestant bible. I will allow we have more tradition about the life and death of Jesus, but it is certainly available for all to see.

The current CHRISTIAN BIBLE is based on what the Roman CATHOLIC CHURCH declared was CONICAL works.
Also they took in the rites and rituals of other Religions to try and get them to convert. But even after declaring these Religions to be SATAN worshipers . They still have keep and use these rites in their services.

The catholic church amassed huge fortunes and witheld education to the common people for 1000 years in order to maintain it's authority. That doesn't seem like a christian act to me.

All christians take the bits from the bible that they want to use and ignore the others.
