Just wondering

I meant to say prayer but the line did not have enough room for me to ad anything else. Anyway are you finding your spiritual journey getting harder? Is this because we are in the last days, and Satan is working harder to steal our joy? I believe that. How many of you Christians feel spiritually flat as a tack? I do, and I feel it is getting harder for me. Just curious, what do you do when you feel flat? Does it sometimes feel the holy spirit is gone,? it does to me.And can God take the holy spirit away?I feel the world is now very stale to me, how about you?.

you won't forget( as in leaving you behind an emotional scarce) or actively seek out the truth become its friend rather than enemy? The way I see it, we can't escape truth. Either we are with it gracefully or with it forcefully.

who is morally superior?
Is anyone really?
Is one who sets their own standards & chooses their own path in this life really morally inferior to one who has decided their path has already been chosen & must walk through this life guided by some transcendental entity.
I say I am no less moral than anyone I am however guided by conscious and my own willpower to resist temptations that I myself have chosen to be wrong whether they be by law or in your so called book of morels Does that make me any different than you if you have chosen to be rewarded by heaven and eternal after life where as I make my own decisions in life based on no reward at all, a peaceful death & nothing more. Although I would have to say I was born with a gift of enormous willpower many I have noticed do not posses and must use other outside reasons to make a morel decision or many choices in life

all seriousness aside; hahaahahahahaha

If no waves arise, water will settle of itself.

If no shadows cross it, the mirror will naturally be bright.

Thus, the heart cannot be made pure, for if one but avoids muddying elements, purity will appear on its own.

Thus, joy should not necessarily be sought after, for if one but avoids those things that cause suffering,

Joy will exist on its own.

I have noticed lately many Christians who claim you do not have to be one to get into heaven. Those that believe this must not have read the bible very much for example in Matt. 18:3 Jesus says, "Verily I say unto you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven." Also Eph. 2:8,9 Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Those are just a few examples. Can anyone show me were it says other wise?

Most infidels don’t even consider the Quran to be a big deal. They say a village idiot can come up with such a book. They claim that many people have written much better books than Quran. But I ask them, can anyone match the apostle’s lovemaking prowess? Can they at the age 60+ make love to 10 young women in a single night? Yes, the apostle could do it. That is an irrefutable proof of his prophethood, which cannot be duplicated.

Bukhari,Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268:

“Prophet was given the strength (sexual) of thirty men”.

Apostle could make love (continuously) to all his wives (9 to 11) in one night.

Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268:

"The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number. Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)."

Bukhari,Volume 7, Book 62, Number 6:

The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night

Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 5, Number 270:

Aisha said, "I scented Allah's Apostle and he went round (had sexual intercourse with) all his wives."

so as we can move on to discover more undiscovered spiritual phenomena much in same fashion like science when it first discovered gravity and move on discover a special theory of relativity? The way I see it we can't even agree on what basic must be.

I do not want any scriptures from the bible.I want only empirical evidence. If you believe God does not have gender give empirical evidence for that also.

To believers
You say that we have no empirical evidence that God does not exist so God exist or may exist. So if you are not able to give empirical evidence for this God's semen is blue or may be blue.

Quotes from bible is not emperical evidence.

I don't want some lame answer because the Bible says so. Why does God require a blood sacrifice? Why did God choose to do it this way?

2006-12-31 20:24:05 · 19 answers · asked by Sharpie 1

It means They can never be PROVEN right, because in their reasoning, when they die, they have no afterlife, and can no longer think, breath, eat, sleep, drink, or anything else. They can't say to Christians, "see? i told you!", or to other atheists, "hey! (high five!) we knew it all the time, didn't we?"

BUT...

If they are proven wrong, look at the hell they'll go through. What will they say to God on their judgment day to spare them eternal torment?

If you look at creation, and everything around you, you'll see that a higher power made us. Some of us believe it's Jehovah, or Yahweh, from the Christian and Hebrew Bibles. Others believe Allah, from the Quran. Some others believe in Buddha, or The God that Sihk's believe in, or the God that Hindus believe in, etc. SOMETHING had to create us. We can't be so ignorant and non-believing to assume that it is all evolution. Question to all those people. HOW DO YOU KNOW GOD DOESN'T EXIST?!

I have had many experiences from God, but now I chose to keep quite regarding them. I might tell people yes I have experienced God, but that is it these days. I know it is beyond an atheist. Have you had any atheist mock your experiences? Why do you think I keep mine all to myself, because I find it none of their business. So christians how often have you been mocked because of you faith, or any dreams or visions from God? I mean God can give you a warning dream to warn you of danger, and you listen to it, and that saves your life, and you go and tell atheist, and they think you are mad. Me myself I have had lots of things from God, which I will not mention on here. Maybe Christians you should only share your experiences with other christians and nobody else. Even be careful with other Christians. After I have told atheists and christians about my experience, all of them were shocked and believed me, and it made them all think about their destination. But now I keep quiet.

If people must witness, we might as well let them know what *hasn't* worked in the past. I was a pretty good Catholic until I went to college and my next-door neighbors were all members of the Baptist Student Union. Concerned for my soul, they gave me a comic book on the "TRUTH about Catholicism" -- as if 18 years as a practicing Catholic didn't make me more of an expert. It was full of lies and slander about monks forced into homosexuality and people in the Inquisition burned for refusing to accept Jesus as their savior (?!?). What that did for me is it gave me my first full-on experience with how religions can lie in attempts to convert you... so I started looking into EVERYTHING. I'm now a happy Unitarian Universalist Pagan. Does anyone else have a story?

MUSLIM WIVES ARE TILTHS:

2.223 Your wives are a tilth for you to be cultivated in any way desired.

Nobody cultivates his tilth as our prophet did, and between his many wives, his slave girls, his captured women, he had a lot of tilth to cultivate.

Bukhari,Volume 1, Book 5, Number 268:
"The Prophet used to visit (had sex with) all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number. Prophet was given the sexual strength of thirty men."

BABY TILTHS:

65.4 You can marry (and divorce) little girls who have not yet reached menstruation age.

Our prophet married Ayesha at age 6 to comply with this aya. However due to her tender age he had to restrict himself to thighing before she reached age of 9.

Thighing is defined by Islamic scholar Khomeini in "Tahrirolvasyleh" fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990 as follows:

"Thighing is a means for an adult male to enjoy a young girl who is still in the age of weaning; meaning to place his penis between her thighs, and to kiss her."

The following is from a committee of muslim ulema answering the question:

"the Prophet, the peace of Allah be upon him, practiced "thighing" of Aisha - the mother of believers - may Allah be pleased with her."

If I ask are we saved by faith or works I get half saying faith alone, some saying both and some saying works. Christians can't agree amongst themselves on this fundemental question and other questions like it.
The koran is no better, how come some interpret it as meaning blow up all believers and kill the infidel and others say its a religion of peace?
