Actually the reason why most people dont know that jesus was married is because the Catholic church suppressed the idea.
the first commandment of the jewish mitzvahs is that law of marriage, God proclaimed it is not good for a man to be alone and commanded Adam and EVE his wife to multiply and be fruitful.
jesus said to john the baptist when john protested and said he was unworthy to Latch his sandles Jesus replied "suffer it to be so to fulfill all righteousness". accordingly if jesus completed all righteousness it would be obvious he had married, once, or twice or even 3 times.
it is written and believed by some that jesus had a daughter named Tara too. I have seen other documents that Hint at other children.as well.
Ogden Kraut wrote a book titled Jesus was married. there are many good arguments for the correct teaching inside it.

Jesus was an illegitimate son of a Egyptian Pharoah. The Jews left Egypt after building the pyramids because the pharoah Cheops was very nasty to them. When they left they also took the "magic of egypt" with them. Around the time of the birth of Christ, the old ways of the Egyptians was falling apart so they needed to create a new religion which was very different from the Pharonic hiarchy. Since they had blamed the Jews for their own downfall, they attempted to secretly bring back the magic.
When Joseph called Jesus "the son of God", it was the the first time in 2500 years that a Jew had referred to a son of a Pharoah as God.
He most likely did it sarcasticly, or because he loved Mary so much..... and when the magic came back it probably freaked him out.
The bible only speaks of the good things that Jesus did and about things that were important in his life - the other stuff is not important..

Just because Jesus didn't ever get married and have children, that doesn't mean He didn't want to. Maybe he did want to, but He knew that a far more important matter was needing attended to, which is the reconciliation of God and humans, and He knew that He was a direct part of the plan to achieve this. Marriage and offspring are two of life's greatest treasures. It's essential to continue the human race with both Marriage and offspring, but Jesus didn't come here for that.

Actually, if you look at the major creator of docturn for the Christian Church you'll see its the Apostle Paul. In his writings (Which are most of the New Testiment) he states the we should not get married since it leads to sex but for those that are too weak then marrage is the answer. This was also one major reason that Paul got into trouble with the Roman government in one of the cities he visited since the wife of the Roman ruler of the city had converted and decided not to "put out." So really we are supposed to follow Jesus example and not get married.

Didn't you watch Da Vinci Code? Just kidding. I believe Jesus himself declare those who can live unmarried should take this path. Otherwise, its the other way around. He understood it isn't easy to follow his perfect path. But soon we will be able to tread the same path he does after undergoing several rebirths(Oops, Christians don't like to hear this). With rebirth, as part of my belief, there is no contradiction. It is just a question of time when each soul would be ready.

Following his example does not mean specific acts of his human life, otherwise we'd all be called to be carpenters, not marry etc. It means to take on a servant attitude as he did. You would think [in human terms] that the son of God would come to earth in a blaze of glory with trumpeting angels. Instead He came as a lowly carpenter, from one of the poorest regions in Israel. His example is that achieving in God's eyes lay not in the accumulation of wealth, power or goods but in a humble heart, filled with love, guided by a greater purpose that yourself.
Just a note: it isn't God's will that some of marry, instead they forgo the blessings of marriage and devote their life to the service of the Lord.

Jesus is the savior of His people, the elect, the called out ones. We don't walk on water or rise from the dead either. We follow the example He set by worshiping and honoring God, and treating others with kindness, mercy, grace and love.

He is the Saviour, the Holy Spirit.
We are the saved, the human beings.
He is the Giver of commands, we are the given to obey.
There are myriads of things He can do, but we cannot.
Nobody can live the life of Christ by judging Him.
We must read the sacred verses and apply them at our own capacities and circumstances. We are not forced to get married, but when we enter it we must know its sublime purpose is to maintain the continual existence of the human race.

A Christian is somebody who believes that Jesus Christ is the messiah, and makes some attempt at following his tactics. Roman Catholics have faith this, so Roman Catholics are Christians, sure. there are various Christians who have faith in evolution and that the earth is 4.5 billion years previous. There are some people who attempt to alter the definition of a Christian to something else, or they have a different term mentioned as "authentic Christian" which excludes Catholics. you may with politeness disagree with them. i'm hoping this helped.

Jesus said "Love one another"
Jesus said "Lay your life down for your brother"
Those are higher examples of your calling from Jesus.
Mat 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. - did HE mean leave the dead on the street for other dead people? NO. he meant lay other things aside, and follow him and quit worrying about oh, whether or not He was married and such...
Pual wasn't married, either, and even encouraged others not to marry - but he knew God designed man to not be alone.
Trust God on this one - God may WANT you to stay single, it IS possible.
