The proof that I am not God lies in the fact that I exist, and He doesn't.

Islam today is about as dangerous as Christianity was during the Inquisition, thankfully they are in a more concentrated area. Do you think in a few hundred years they will become more mainstream like today's christians, with only a few hardcore wackos like Pat Robertson (today's watered-down christian version of Osama Bin-Laden).

There is a prophetic statement told by Sahih Muslim that tells us that prophet Muhammed said that god will forgive sins committed by Muslims and punish Jews and Christians for those sins instead.

I was surprised to read that statement because I thought that god should punish everyone for his/her own sins only.

Is there any reason for that statement?

Does the Imam report to anyone?

do the Mosques tend to be independent?

As an example, the Catholics have a Priest, that reports to a archbishop, then to a Cardinal, etc. Do Muslims have any structure like that?

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE INFO!! I APPRECIATE IT.

Yesterday I complimented this older gentleman about how beautiful his eyes were...he and his wife smiled and said "thanks dear"....It felt good to compliment someone....

About 4 hours later a woman came up to me and complimented me on how beautiful my eyes were.

Could be a coincidence...I like to think it was good karma.

I belong to a mother who is a strict Roman Catholic. My dad is Catholic; only because my mom wanted him to convert into Catholicism.

I myself, personally hate it. I have never missed more than 3 masses since I was about 4 years old.

It's so.... hard, I know so much about the Catholic religion, and I don't even act like a Catholic//how they should. I'm not totally naughty, but I'm most certainly not a good girl. (still a virgin, ect)

Anyway, I guess my question is, should I convert into something else?? Or should I stay as a Catholic, and..... I don't know..

I'm so lost.

your opinions, please?

I believe that there is a higher power, whether it be a god or mother-nature. But I believe that there is something larger than us. I don't believe 99% of the stuff in the bible. I am not sure if I believe in heaven or hell. I just believe that when we die, we are gone. I'm not so sure if our "souls" live on to go to heaven / hell / pergutory / reincarnation. I believe in spirits walking amoung us. I'm just not sure of anything. I don't think anyone really knows. I'm really confused about what I'd call this. Athiest maybe. Agnostic? Or just plain confused / undecided.

In other words, if GOD is all powerful, present everywhere, all seeing and all powerful how can you not be one with IT?

Is GOD not present in you? Are you not the eyes, ears and hands of GOD?

Some people say that"Christians know that their Christmas is fake basically the sun gods day this is".
Christians does not know the birth of Jesus (Peace be upon him), Visit the Christian website to verify it:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Comm/ray_stedman/misc/a_living_hope_3565.html
“We are uncertain as to when Jesus was born”.
Christians start celebrating CHRISTMAS 336 years after ALLAH taken him to heaven.
Christmas is more become disrespect to JESUS (Pbuh) because on that day they drink wine, use drugs, do illegal sex and things like that, they should follow the teachings of JESUS (Pbuh) rathar than imposed any date as JESUS (Pbuh)'s birthday. And also fake things like christmas tree & fake santa clauss. What you say about it?

Should one be capable of fully understanding their own conditioning and why it is they think what they are at any given moment and thus trace the origin of all thought, could they be capable of clearing their mind in such a way that enables them to accept the one universal mind(God), therefore enabling them to synchronize all that occurs within the mind with that which is occuring all around them?Have you done this? Are you capable of it all the time? Would you like to know how, or do you? Do you think you know something of this you would like to share with the inhabitants of this world(your selves)?

Since Christmas is tomorrow, I was wondering what people thought about the holiday. Do you think the religions part is still important or has it become secondary to gift-giving?
