I asked a question earlier and half the responses were "confused" to read plz click the link below:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjcI3ZzCtSSBLP94T2LTfSTsy6IX?qid=20061218141449AAEWLFB&show=7#profile-info-321198781427c50cd5fb11b1d38ee5d4aa

now is it just me, or are they just calling me confused because my beliefs confuse them? it sure seems to me that they are just small minded fools who do not fully understand the concept because they took maybe three seconds to think about it whereas i have spent many sleepless night thinking about it.

i want scientifical answers supported by arguments!! not just "you are confused" or "you're confused because your leaving out the god of the bible".

So God sends Moses to Egypt on the most important mission - to free the Jews. Mission so important that later God himself will be reminding about it in every freaking paragraph of the Bible. And what does he do next? He tries... to kill Moses for no apparent reason. WTF??? Some will say that was because his son was not circumcised, but wouldn't a sane god, if it was so important to him just say something like "and yeah, by the way, i noticed that your son is not circumcised yet, you should do it before you go".
So, insane? Randomly homicidal? Or what?

Also the funny question is - why did he fail to kill him fast? One would expect the Creator of the Universe would have no problem instantly destroying a good part of the galaxy, but this god seems to be embarrassingly weak...

Ted Haggard is the worst kind of SocioPath. Hypocrites are the main reason Organized Religion is losing its affect. I stopped going to church over ten years ago, but maintain a relationship with God through other means (demeanor, behavior, and prayer).

The members of his church seem so Passionate and Devote. He appeared passionate and devote, but ALAS! is really a man who is married to a women, had a homosexual relationship with another man, and did illegal drugs (yes, I know...allegedly did illegal drugs). Futhermore he crushed the spirits of his congregation and dismanteld his family with his lies. Can you imagine how his teenage daughters feel going to school now?

I feel he should be more accountable. Yes, God is the one who makes the final judgement, but this kind of betrayal on such a Grand Scale seems to warrant some sort of earthly punishment.

But what?

I would just like to apologize for the un-Christlike behavior illustrated by another user just a minute ago. Just letting you know that most true Christians would never say that. It was very rude and I hope the person who said it sees the error of his/her ways. God bless all.

I've always been a christian but lately have been thinking a lot about what i believe and why i believe it!! I read up on scientology (out of interest not to join) and thought hey, thats so far fetched.... but when i think about it.... christianity is 2 and so are most religions. (personal opinion, dont get upset)

I've always been "spiritual and earthy" and believe in the elements etc... and i guess that doesn't fit in with christianity anyways, so i figured i never really was a true believer. I believe in the earth. i'm not sure if i'd be considered a pagan?? or if i just believe what i believe??? i'm just confused

Has anyone else gone through the same thing or have any advice?

Jesus Christ used the example of Noah to reveal attitudes that would predominate near the end:

"But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be" (Matthew 24:37-39).

This is history and prophecy working together. Their meaning is clear: The attitude of people in Noah's day would prevail again just before Christ's second coming. To both groups God seemed far away, virtually unconcerned about human activities on earth, and life appeared to go on as it always had (2 Peter 3:3-6). These people would be unconcerned as to their true spiritual condition and blind to God's impending judgment.
God and the biblical warning signs until all havoc breaks loose. Like the people in Noah's time who laughed and mocked.

According to modern Muslims, Muhammad is not to be depicted in drawings, sculptures, etc. Did you know that the US has a sculpture of Muhammad? Not just anywhere, but in Washington DC....in the Supreme Court Building....in the courtroom itself!

Interesting, huh?

I know there is but this is for all of the narrow minded Christians out there that seem to think that Gay people are any different than Hermaphrodites. They are born the way they are. It's not their fault. And no i'm not Gay.

Matthew 5
1And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

2And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
