I saw, online, a site where you can put in your sins, send it to a priest and then recieve a penance. Is that a true absolution? The site is www.onlineconfession.org. I'm a catholic.

Are religious people around you baffled by the fact that you don't beleive in organized religion? I was raised in a very secular muslim home. As i've gotten older i've chosen not to take a religious path. I do beleive in a supreme power/designer/ presence (whatever you wanna call it) but i don't beleive in the judeo christian islamic religions. My in laws are religious....find they always take the opportunity to corner me and attack me for not believeing. What is the psychology behind people like that? WTF, how can i get them to lay off and how can i argue that God is unknowable. How can i get them to leave me alone!!

I'm just wondering if there's a sure fire way to avoid hell. I mean, what if I die on Mars? What if I'm light years from the earth, will the intese gravity of a black hole be my hell then. But wait, is it possible that the sun has its own hell, perhaps worse than that found within the Earth? Perhaps to avoid hell, we must blast off into the heavens literally just as God commands. I mess up everyday and I know I am about to get myself in troble but I still do it. I always ask god to forgive me but I dont think I mean it. I will also say bad crap about god in church (in my head). I want god to accept me to heven but if I dont think what im doing is right is it? And for some odd reason I feel like I have to do one thing to get in heven(like get my nails done or read the bible). People always say good always triumphs over evil...God is always superior to Satan..I wonder what world they live in, there are some good things and some bad things and have yet to measure how one is in greater "quantity" ( or qualitity for that matter) than the other..
So, is there a war between God and Satan? Are they like two "gods"? When I say "god" , note that I mean a superhuman being who has the power to make you do things you seemingly have no control over (which both qualify), i.e do "evil" things or "good" things.
