Being baptised does not automatically save you.
The only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ. You have to believe that He died on the cross for your sins and you want him to come into your life and heart.
John 14:6
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' "

It depends on the religion, if you're Catholic and get baptized then confess before you die, you're supposed to be "saved." At least this was my undestanding when I was baptized at a young age in the Catholic church. If you're Baptist, the actual baptism is a symbol of your belief in Christ and God. If you don't belive, but are baptized I doubt you will be saved.
On a personal note, I'm no longer religious, at all, so I don't see the whole point of getting saved. Good luck with your soul though! I hope you find the right answer for you... I think that's the key no matter what you choose to do.

Nope. Baptizing is an outward profession of an inward faith. Only the blood of Jesus can wash away sins.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Being baptized isn't what saves you. It's believing in God and asking for forgiveness. Getting baptized is just a way of showing God that you love him and that you want to be a good person.

Being baptized alone will not save you. If you have heard the word taught, believed the word, repented of your sins, and confessed Jesus as Lord, then and only then are you ready for baptism which washes away your sins and puts you in Christ. Acts chapter 2

In order to be saved you must
1 admit you are a sinner
2 believe that God is God creator and divine, that Jesus is His Son born of a vigin, lived a sinless life and died, and that with his death we can be forgiven our sin.
3 Then you must confess this to God out loud in a prayer.
Baptism is something you do as an outward showing of your decision to follow Christ and live a life as close to his as possible. We are told, once we have accepted Christ (and been saved) that we are to be baptised and we should partake of the Lords Supper in rememberence of Christs death. We are also encouraged to worship with other Christians, do good works, and spread the gospel, but these things have nothing to do with salvation.

being baptized gives you forgiveness of sin it does not save you. In order to be saved, you must accept God's Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is a simple act of faith and confessing that Jesus is your Lord

I am not a christian so I cannot say for sure but I can say that it would only make sense that you would be saved if you really believe that you will be. That is what faith is you just have to believe and if you don't then learn what it is that you need to know and you will be saved from the doubt

He (or she) that BELIEVES and is baptized shall be saved; he (or she) that believes NOT is condemned already.
If you BELIEVE, then baptism is an outward sign and testimony which you give to the BELIEF you have.
Baptism does NOT save; lack of baptism does NOT condem.
Belief saves; unbelief (or non-belief) condemns.

No, you need to get saved first. You get saved by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. The baptism is supposed to be your first act of obedience to God after getting saved. It is an outward display of an inward change. It represents the death, burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
