I am thankful you are concerned about the condition of your soul. There is nothing more important than knowing how to be saved---and then getting saved! I got saved my senior year in high school, one night sitting in my bedroom, I read a message like the one I am about to type out for you.
God's Purpose: Peace and Life
God loves you, and He wants you to experience peace and life--- life to the fullest and eternal.
The Bible says...
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1)
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16)
"I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it to the fullest" (John 10:10)
Why don't most people have this peace and full life that God planned for us to have?
The Problem: Our Separation
God created us in His own image to have life to the fullest. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice.
We chose to disobey God and go our own sinful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.
The Bible says...
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
Our Attempts to Reach God
People have tried in many ways to bridge the gap between themselves and God. Some of the ways we try to bridge this gap are: good works, religion, philosophy, and morality.
The Bible says...
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12)
"But your wicked deeds have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2)
No bridge reaches God...except one.
God's Bridge: The Cross
Jesus Christ, God's only Son, died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.
The Bible says...
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1st Timothy 2:5)
"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God" (1st Peter 3:18)
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
God has provided the only way to Him...each of us must make a choice
Our Response: Receive Christ
We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.
The Bible says...
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20)
"Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12)
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9)
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner.)
2. Change your attitude that you can save yourself. Change your attitude to the fact that only Christ can save you by what He did on the cross (Repent...means a change of mind or attitude)
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior)
How To Pray:
God, I know I am a sinner. I know my sin has earned me eternal separation from You. I believe Christ died in my place when He died on the cross. I accept His death as the full payment for my sin. I accept Him as my Savior. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
God's Assurance: His Word
If you prayed this prayer from your heart,
the Bible says...
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13)
Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith---and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God---not by works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Bible says...
"He who has the Son has life: he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life" (1st John 5:12-13)
Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who lives inside every believer. This is called salvation, regeneration, eternal life, or the new birth.
This could be the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. No, all your pain and trouble won't go away overnight. Give it time though. Follow the things I am advising you on below, and over time, you will see your life with Jesus grow, and you will see yourself change. God loves you. He cares for you. He can and will give you a happy life. To deepen this relationship you should:
1. Read your Bible every day to know Christ better. Start with the Gospel of John. Read at least a chapter a day. If you do not have a easy-to-understand version of the Bible it will be my pleasure to send you one absolutely free! Just give me your name & address and you will have a easy-to-understand Bible mailed to you tomorrow.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day
3. Tell others about Christ
4. Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached
5. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
Christ is "the cure all", but He's not the immediate "cure all". He is the immediate Savior though. As I've said, give Him time to become the "cure-all". Follow the 5 steps for growth that I have outlined above. No matter what a person has gone through or is going through, if they don't have Christ in their life, that's the core of all their problems and hurts. IM or e-mail me anytime. I am here for you!
Christ's Servant,

I am 16 and feel basically the same way. recently i have begun reading the Bible and trying to learn the most I can about religion and spirituality. one thing that you might try doing, if your parents will let you, is try other churches. sometimes when this happens, it is because you do not truly believe in what a certain denomination (religious branch of Christianity) is trying to teach, or at least read more about the different denominations. I have even talked to some preachers and they say that it is better to try to find a church you believe in and attend there than stay in a church your parents (or friends, or relatives, etc.) want you to. but don't worry. you are definitely not the only person who feels this way. Martin Luther (who founded the Lutheran church) felt very similar to the way you do. he thought that he would never get into Heaven no matter what he did. However he formed an idea, one that I agree with i agree with: salvation (going to Heaven) can be reached by faith alone. If you feel like talking more about this, email me.

The question "Will I Go To Heaven" can only be answered by you and God. We have no clue. Since it seems like you're worried about going to Heaven, then it means that you have conviction in your heart to do what God's will for you is. The Bible.. and some will argue about what this actually means.... but it says that you should repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. Now the first two are real easy... anyone can do it. However, speaking in tongues is a highy debated issue- first of all, not many churches believe in it... even though it is clearly stated in the Bible that you should receive this most precious gift. It is also a sure sign that you do have the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that God lives in you. You have to stop looking for answers outside of yourself though. You have to examine your heart, if its not the same as God's... you're probably not on the right path. Good Luck!

Actually by 14 you should know who God is. Not every verse in the bible or what everything means but you should know that things that come into your head in church that are not christian are things of Satan. He does go into church too. You need to study the bible you need to get into a teen youth group there are a lot of them. If you don't have a family who supports your belief than you need to find a Pasteur and his wife or someone like that to confide in. Also if you don't have a ride there are many churches that will provide transportation for you. You aren't a child anymore. Mary was your age when she became pregnant with Jesus. How hard do you think that was was her?

What your going through is normal, honest . It will be OK. Your only human and we ALL mess up. God has forgiven your past , present and future sins. As you age and gain experience you will understand more and more about what God has in store for you and it is wonderful beyond your wildest imagination.
We all have bad thoughts even at church. Sometimes just because we are supposedly not supposed to have them. God made you who you are for a reason. Your experience can profoundly help others. Especially what some may think are negative experiences. Every once in awhile just try to relax and be still. I mean still in your mind and answers will eventually come. ABOVE ALL know that it will be OK.
God Bless he's already begun a great work in your life.

slow down. take a deep breath. Just reading your question made my head hurt. Teenagers are supposed to be mixed hormone balls of energy, part of growing up is finding your own way and questioning the values your parents instilled in you. Sometimes you find you agree and are thankfull, other times you must travel your own journey, usually a longer more painfull ride. Understand that much of what you feel now will change dramaticlly in the next 5 to 10 years, Look for a teen group or mentor in your commuinty or church, someone that is unjudgemental and listens much. Heaven is not based on one thing. Its an evaluation of your overall life. If one wrong move prohibited you from entry into heaven absolutely NO ONE would get in. Treat others like you want to be treated. Surround yourself with postive people.

Well you are only 14, can you talk with your family, and read the Bible with them? They will help you to understand, or if you can join a Bible study at your church, there is a youth group there that would be a good way to hear what others of your age are feeling and doing. Pray and ask the Lord to guide you to find the way you should go, so that you will find your way and be with your family, in heaven.God bless you . Merry Christmas

Ok. Deep down we all know the difference between right and wrong. It's your actions not words that hurt God, or Allah or whoever you pray too. Although I can't really answer on the Allah I'm only referring to the previous answer you received. God knows you are 14, and he knows you have mixed emotions. You're not a bad person and you know that. Maybe you are just being rebellious to see how far you can push things to get noticed. Just be a great role model for people your age, if you do great things that's what gets you noticed...

You are not supposed to be so concerned about the things you do wrong that you become confused, but to rejoice that God is forgiving. You are destroying yourself, because you refuse to see God's Law for what it is. God's Law teaches us how to live with each other without hurting each other. Each law has some reason behind it, that allows mankind to live in unity. Every minor error, while it may make some difference, if forgivable. Larger offenses one should take some time to understand what went wrong. You should be joyful that God loves you, not worried that God will throw you into Hell. Fear of offending God is a gift of the Holy Spirit. It reminds you when you do or are about to do something wrong.
Me? With faith, I hope that I am going to heaven! Just giving even that judgement over to God is an act of maturity of faith many adults can't handle (in my experience).
Leave it to God, then you don't have to worry about it.

I think it's perfectly normal for all young people to have these confusing thoughts, particularly about religion. All that aside, I've got to say that you're a very long way from heaven or hell. You've got a whole long life ahead of you. It shouldn't be wasted worrying about where you're going to go when you die. You're not the only person who's ever made mistakes or had doubts. Everyone that you know and love has made mistakes and had doubts, too. So if you won't go to heaven for these things, then neither will anyone else.
I hope you manage to sort these things out soon. Take care of yourself and be happy.

Hey Katie,
It's likely if not inevitable that you will go to heaven, in my opinion.
Heaven is a place a lot like here ...
Part of the trick is to recognise when you get there.
When you talk to God, you are getting a message. Listen to what you are saying to God and you may find that you are telling yourself something ... like ... "I want God to accept me" ... may be a code for "I can't accept myself". If you can, take a little quiet time, breathe slow and deep, look deep inside and find that there is the real you inside, maybe half hidden for fear of being not accpeted. Show yourself compassion, love yourself ... and you may find that the world becomes a bit more heaven-like. Being mixed up is fine ... try lots of different emotions ... and step back from them - notice whether getting angry or sad or silly makes you happier or sadder. Then choose what you want to do ... in the end it appears that the choices are all yours to make, it's exciting, daunting, scary sometimes ... it's life ... it's a gift. You aresupposed to feel exactly what you are feeling ... it may be a whirl, dizzying, up high or down low ... but each day you are given exactly what you need to get to the next one.
"In the path of our happiness shall we find the learning for which we have selected this lifetime." (Richard Bach ... if you havn't read it ... try his book Johnathan Livingston Seagull ... it might touch you).
Wishing you happiness in abundance
