Without Christianity and with our fallen human nature as it is, I believe that the world would be a much worse place.

No, I agree that this world be a better place if Islam was the main religion. If we all live according to the PROPER SHARIAH---I mean the one that isnt being warped and used in Afghanistan or Saudi Arabia---there would be no children born in ways where some women cant identify the father, womens rights would be more protected and the world would be at peace ie. no theft or murders

The world would be a better place without ignorance, arrogance and crude comments such as this, which cause divisiveness and perpetuate the anger, wars and so on.

Religions themselves don't "screw things up" it's people, whether they have religion or not that DO who are too attached to their own points of view and angrily and/or cruelly foist such opinions upon others.

i agree with what you are saying i believe that religion and politics as well are the cause for a majority of the problems in the world today why else are so many people killing each other for alot of the killing is due to religion and political differences

It does seem to come down to individual decisions, doesn't it? Some people prefer to abdicate their personal responsibility though, so therein lie the problem.
