is it just proportional to the amount of people who believe it?

no one really believes in zeus, so it's considered "myth".

a lot of people believe in "jesus" so worship of "jesus" is considered a "religion".

Why do christians believe the world has been around for 5,ooo years when all scientific evidence proves otherwise. I guess if you are a christain and you dont agree with him then you dont count- but is this an attempt do disprove evolution theory? Dinosaur bones are WAY older than the oldest human bones. I know they should not force you, and if you dont want to listen thats fine, its your choice. But you have to see it from the believer's point of view. They believe if you continue in your present state you will burn in hell, if you saw a car heading for the edge of a cliff would you not try and warn the driver?

Christians believe so. So they invent the DEVIL, SIN, PUNISHMENT, BANISHMENT, EVERLASTING FIRE, REBUKE, FORGIVENESS, FEAR.

God is a loving God. When he created the world it was GOOD. God does not know evil, and he is a loving God not a punishing God. Humans (christians) have created a man made GOD and believe he is like them. Punishing and to be afraid of.

How can you fear someone and love them at the same time. When you choose love hate or fear no longer exist. LOVE ia all there is. LOVE has no opposites. There is nothing for God to forgive you for. What humans call sin is simply a choice given by God. Your decision what is correct becomes your choice and your truth, not mine. Dont make judgement on anyones action, it is their actions that takes them on their journey of truth and closer to discovering LOVE. or GOD

If the HOLY BIBLE was so correct as most suggest why is there not one accepted way or journey to God. Why this debate of who or what is correct.

How do you know that everything Jesus said was the absolute truth?

How do you know that his friends and followers, who wrote the Gospel decades after Jesus' death, weren't exaggerating or outright lying?

I know it's called "faith" but when you look at it from outside the box you're just listening to some guy's story. Is that really worth all of sacrifice and devotion? There must be hundreds of other prophets and holy books. Why do you only believe Jesus' story?

It says in the bible that God created man in his own image....well how do we know that?.First off No one has seen God.....Did God explain to Adam that "hey adam...You can't see me but you kinda look like me" So I made you in my Image or was it just an assumption that he did. This is the problem.
I have a friend in deep distress over the health of a brother-in-law. This person of ill health has been on the roller coaster concerning cancer. Tests done; no cancer. Then something else happens, back to the hospital they go. Wife at his side, family always present. I understand the stress the family is going through, and I have been asked to pray for him.
My problem is-how does one pray? If I pray for the best possible outcome, isn't that rather unnecessary since it's going to have an outcome one way or the other as it's it silly to think that what ever God I may believe in, or the patient believes in, would naturally do what is best since HE created all involved anyway? Does Mankind risk the audacity to demand God to heal anyone? This is difficult for me since I lean toward wiccan beliefs and have a natural avoidance of wishing to control the lives or fortunes of others. How do Wiccans treat prayers. Please.

What on earth makes Christians think the tree has ANYTHING to do with their religion? That's like saying a rabbit ran through galilee crying out "Jesus has arisen! Hide the eggs!" Revelation 1:1

"A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John,"

God gave Jesus a revelation? But Jesus is supposed to be God right? So how did God give himself a revelation to himself to give to John?
Did God personality No.1 give a revelation to God personality No.2 who would of not known as it was a revelation so that God personality No.2 could give it to the apostle John through an angel. And what was God personality No.3 the holy ghost doing all this time?

The following verses of Revelations refer to God as having seven spirits: 3:1, 4:5, 5:6. Why does God have seven spirits? Isn't God a trinity?
