Feelings are not the Holy Spirit. Often times our feelings contradict what the Holy Spirit is telling us to do or not to do. If your feelings are in agreement with the Holy Spirit then that is a GREAT thing. But, most of the time our flesh is going to want us to do the opposite of what GOD wants us to do. That is what we call, "The Conviction of the Holy Spirit" or "Being Convicted by the Holy Spirit.) For instance, my flesh wants to watch soap operas but my spirit tells me it's wrong. If I were to watch a soap opera my flesh would love it but my spirit would bug the heck out of me and make me feel bad about it until I repented, asked God to forgive me and asked God's help to not do that again. Or another example is that the Holy Spirit convicted me about wearing pants (wearing that which pertains to a man) Now, my flesh does not like to wear dresses and skirts all of the time. My flesh likes pants. But, if I put on pants my spirit will bug me and bug me and bug me until I put on a dresss/skirt.

God's spirit talking and your own feelings from within are the same. It's called intuition.

You ask God to give you the gift of discernment, and you also look in the Bible. Whatever goes against the Bible is not from God.

If you've learned to quiet your mind and be fully open to Him, you can place yourself in His Presence and you'll be able to know the difference. Otherwise, you can discern it through prayer, meditation, fasting and acts of love.

If you want somebody to buy your idea, the easiest sell is to make them think it's their idea. But don't expect God to emerge from the curtain and say "yes, yes, it was I who told Grasshopper to take the last pork chop"

The quickening is a dead giveaway. Do you feel an acceleration?-----The Spirit quickens whom it will. The mystics know what I'm talking about.

God is non-existent.
Besides that, if god existed, who says it's opinion would not disagree with yours?
