I thought the angel had already told her this? Very bright for his age, wasn't he? Never heard that before , but I find it both plausible and fascinating!

The Gospel of Thomas is not accepted by the canon. Jesus may have been able to turn water into wine (wine to water in the Simpsons), but Jesus talking after birth is a way that people stereotype Jesus as the superbaby/superman. Do I believe it is possible? Slightly, but if Jesus said that, it'd be too obvious and everyone would see God loves them (since Jesus came down to earth, we knew God loved us so much that he decided to send his son down to be killed instead of us. But, it wouldn't really be like Jesus just to blurt out "I am the Son of God", now is it?)

No, because he was just a human baby, and other than having perfect health, he developed in the same pattern as other children. He didn't have knowledge of his pre-existence until his baptism. What he knew he learned from Mary and Joseph, just like every other Jewish child. Granted, he likely absorbed knowledge at a higher rate, with full retention, but just like other children, he didn't begin developing conceptual thought process until puberty. Also, just like all males, he didn't reach full emotional and physical maturity until age 30. At that point his mind was fully ready for the task that lay ahead of him.

no. doesn't it make you wonder why some stories from those times have been left out of bibles and others which people wish to believe and 2000 years ago seemed credible.
If the world creator is so great why are there so many defects in humans, and why has someone not corrected these errors we have spent 2000 talking little action!

The notion is preposterous. That is perhaps why that gospel is not part of the KJV or its successors.
