When you were a child and did wrong; were disobedient to your parents, and got caught, weren't you a little fearful of the repercussions of your actions? That's the way it is with God as our Heavenly father. He corrects , loves AND chastens us as a loving parent chastens their child. Understand?

You ask different questions.
Assuming that God exists (and I have an open mind), then my guess is that when people are slaughtered / tortured / beaten in his name, he probably would be somewhat in despair.
I have SOME respect for a concept of God - though perhaps not compatible with the vioew of most folks - but I have utterly NO TIME at all for the crappy man-made packaging that every man and his dog seems to have piled up to make "religion".
If every biblical text in the world evaporated into thin air, I am sure it could only bring about a more tolerant World.

When the bible says "fear" it doesn't mean in the sense that you are actually scared, like you would be of spiders or heights...etc. It means that you respect him enough to obey him and live your life in a worthy manner. Christians didn't invent DEVIL, SIN, PUNISHMENT, BANISHMENT, EVERLASTING FIRE, REBUKE, FORGIVENESS or FEAR. And there are things for God to forgive us for. The Human race is amazingly sinful. The only way to get into heaven is to adit your sinful, like everyone else, and ask for his forgiveness.

Geee yer saying two emotions can't co-exist - Im so glad I talked to a profession psychiatrist here.
Twit - emotions can coexist
when i was young I was darn scared of getting the belt - but I still loved my parents. Both existed. I can hate an action that my parents do and still love them - emotion co-exist all the time
There is one accepted way to be saved - Its not our fault there exists deception and yes the evil red demons with horns and tails and pitchforks.

God gave us free will so that at all things we can make our own decisions to follow Him or not to follow Him. Anybody who says that God does not exist is entitled to their opinion.
Suppossing God do exist, what would those people who say that God does not exist do? Faith is very important in order to understand the existence of God.
God's existence is not something which we can verify or understand with reason alone. Faith and reason works hand in hand for reason helps us in understandin faith.
Finally, there one thing that God cannot do despite HIS all powerfulness. God cannot stop loving you and me, if God stop loving us, we simply cease to exist. God continues to forgives us and give us opportunities to make good use of our free will. I hope this would help.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" -Ro. 3:23. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us" -1 Jn. 1:8. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" -1 Jn. 1:9. "Anyone not found in The Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire" -Rev. 20:15. "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" -Jn. 14:6. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" -Jn. 3: 16. " He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he does not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God" -Jn.3:18. "And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil" -Jn.3:19. "We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit" -2 Pet. 1: 19-21. "Now is the judgement of this world; now the ruler of this world is cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all nations unto myself" -Jn. 12:31,32. " I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, yet shall he live. And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." -Jn. 11:25,26. "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" -Jn.6:12. "And this is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but shall raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day" -Jn. 6:39, 40. "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give me a drink', you would have asked Him, and He would have given you rivers of living water" -Jn. 4:10. "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he can not see the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, but that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I say to you, 'You must be born again" -Jn.2: 5-7
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. That was the true Light which gives light to every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name; who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth" -Jn.1: 1-14. "Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgements which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you will possess, that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command to you, you and your sons and your grandsons, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged" -Deut. 6" 1,2. "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgements of the Lord are true and righteous altogether" -Ps. 19:9."The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding" -Prov. 9:10

THE HOLY BIBLE IS CORRECT, IT'S MAN'S INTERPRETATIONS THAT GET MESSED UP. And yes, it does talk about God's anger. And what a day it will be when his wrath is poured out, when he is done waiting on mankind to come to it's senses!!!
