I can't find one good reason. I'm trying, seriously. I've looked hard, I've read the book, I've tried to make myself believe the prophecies, but no matter how hard I try, I can't. Is there something I am missing?

Faith...?!? Doesn't that basically mean believing something without evidence, which, ironically, is the perfect reason not to believe something. If I am going to believe something due to a lack of evidence, why not believe there is a purple, invisible teapot orbiting earth? Just doesn't make sense...

You are missing God. Only God can reveal the truth if you continue to seek the truth God will reveal the truth to you.The answer is to search and seek God in his word, meditation and prayer and God is true to his word he will reveal the truth to you.If you have reached this conclusion before seeking the truth do you still wonder why you have not recieved revelation?

Although parts of the bible have been tampered with, you can study different translations to see the many similarities to find the truth. One translation that I recommend is the 1901 American Standard version available by special order only at www.allbibles.com. You can start by touching on scientific and historical accuracy. Look at things in the bible that no person on earth could have possibly known at the time it was written, like Isaiah 40:21,22. Here it clearly states that the Earth is round long before Columbus existed. Consider also Job 26:7 where it says that the Earth is suspended in the middle of space on nothing, notice that there is no world tree or Atlas holding it up. The bible also accurately describes the water cycle and gives historically accurate lineages that can be verified through Archeology. If you can find it, find a documentary on one man that made it his life ambition to find the Arc of the Covenant. Not only did he possibly find it, he found details that matched the bible record in great detail like the orientation of the pole sockets for the tabernacle that it was kept in. Never have blind faith as some would suggest, but prove it to yourself in harmony with Prov 2:1-5 and you will find the very knowledge of God. And as for the guy saying to go to the watchtower for answers, check out wikipedia under Jehovah's Witnesses to see why that would be the worst idea and also silentlambs.org. Christian Love, Bill

Its not a like of evidence. There is plenty of evidence. You are a member of the Jury. You must weigh the evidence and make your decision knowing nothing is absolute. What is your decision. Will you accept or reject the evidence presented? Good luck. Kisses Betty.

Because it is the Truth and the Truth will set you free.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing a Word about Christ / God.

With Faith Confession and being Born of God, also is the gift of the Spirit of Truth that leads into all truth and will show you the Truth in the Word of God (Holy Bible).

Only in faith.
Just like a scientist believes in radiation as a dating method its faith. What if the world Had more or less radiation through time the tests are a step in faith that there have not been changes that could affect the process that they can not take into consideration.
How do you not know the matrix is just a movie well its all faith isn't it.

What you're missing is the fact that you don't believe. You don't believe, and that's why it's making it harder for you to believe. You don't know what to really believe. And since that's true, you can't upset that the Bible is the word of God.
Tell me: who would write stuff like the Bible and NOT know what they're talking about?

You shouldn't. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions and there is no reason why you should conform to another person's belief system.
