If so, then the viruses and other microscopic organisms and all the dangers that can happen to it are the result of sin/Satan? What is the PHYSICAL body without the effect of sin, then? Does it eat? Does it think? Does it have an indestructible brain?

Not according to modern science, only with accordance to religion and religious texts, when was the world (and everything on it) created?

PLEASE DO NOT answer the question if you believe she was NOT sinless. I believe she was NOT. I am looking for intelligent, well thought-out answers as to why you believe she WAS sinless. Specifically, I'd like you to back it up with Scripture. If you can't do that, then at least back it up with your church's doctrine or other texts.

THANKS!

In its original form, then, what is the lion? Does the lion just not eat or just eat grass? I'm being very serious here - if God created the lion but the horrible suffering it causes by feeding on other animals is the result of sin, then what the lion BEFORE sin?

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Do you choose a best answer based on your own belief on the subject or do you really try to choose based on their point of view?

If you choose based on your own view, then why even ask?

I know this question seems perverted, but I heard about this on a TV Show late night and I was unable to catch the name of the show. Anyways, they said fathers in biblical times stuck their fingers into their daughters vagina to prove to the man that was going to marry his daughter that she was in fact a virgin. As you know, a girl has a hymen when shes born and it will rupture if the father breaks it, so I guess that was their way of proving virginity back in the day. Does anyone have any historical/biblical verses that might indicate that fathers (not priests, dad-dads) did do this?

From the earlier answers, I don't see where the bible says Cain gave second rate goods as a sacrifice? It may be implied, but it does not state clearly that Cain tried to cheat God. It only clearly states that God was not pleased w/ the offerings. If the ground is cursed (as one person said), then God could never be pleased w/ Cain's offerings.

P.S. The Bible was never written in English, aren't all the names in the Bible simply phonetic spellings?

I saw answers that said that God created the world but that our original sin messed it up (based on Satan's temptation and his continuing efforts to deceive). Which parts are part of God's original plan - it can't be life feeding on life or even bodies (bodies are mechanisms of vulnerability, attack, and defense). It can't be planets and stars, given that they're not eternal and can wipe out life just as easily as they temporarily support it. So ... which parts are the parts from God?

My faith was tested last night with criticism of my faith, I was thinking about leaving A & Q and for a while I was going to give up but I know loving God and believing him will carry me through
This prayer helped me

Prayer for Faith
Lord, I believe:
I wish to believe in Thee.
Lord, let my faith be full and unreserved,
and let it penetrate my thought,
my way of judging Divine things and human things.
Lord, let my faith be joyful
and give peace and gladness to my spirit,
and dispose it for prayer with God
and conversation with men,
so that the inner bliss of its fortunate possession
may shine forth in sacred and secular conversation.
Lord, let my faith be humble and not presume
to be based on the experience of my thought and of my
feeling;
but let it surrender to the testimony of the Holy Spirit,
and not have any better guarantee than in docility to
Tradition
and to the authority of the magisterium of the Holy Church.

Amen.

Have you been tested?

I think so. Evolution is a scientifically proven fact. god is a bronze age myth. I think it is the responsibility of the church to teach people how it really happened. And it will encourage diversity in the church and a diverse church will give better results.

After the rapture happens, you know all the babies will be taken up to heaven. but what about the babies born during the Tribulation? When people choose to accept the mark of the beast and force their babies to get it too, doe that mean the babies/children are doomed to hell also or not because it was forced on them and they didn't know why they were taking the mark. what do you think?

I asked a question about the basic way things were set up in the universe (life feeding on life with prey animals suffering immensely every moment) and how this calls into question a loving god. And people responded that this world and its mechansims are the result of original sin. Then why do we look at the horror show and say that God's glory is in it? Do you see the contradiction I'm getting at?

of professing Christians who teach false, non-biblical doctrines?

namely:
1. Trinity
2. Fiery Hell for those who do not believe
3. Heaven for believers
4. Immortal soul

I do believe that Atheist are people who do not easily believe what they are told. I think they are better than professing Christians who believe a doctrine they themselves cannot understand nor explain.

Im not an atheist nor a professing christian, I am Christian

In what way is saying "I'm going to believe this even though it isn't based upon any factual evidence at all and nothing is ever going to make me change my mind no matter how stupid it makes me look." That isn't a good thing. That is just going to make you ignorant of the world and so limit your understanding of it. Anyone with faith I encourage you to throw it aside and see the world how it real is. You never know you mite like it. I know I do.

I would think these two groups would always be going at it tooth and nail. One believes there is no God and one believes there is but chooses not to worship it. Each side, give me your best argument on why you are right.
