I asked a question about the basic way things were set up in the universe (life feeding on life with prey animals suffering immensely every moment) and how this calls into question a loving god. And people responded that this world and its mechansims are the result of original sin. Then why do we look at the horror show and say that God's glory is in it? Do you see the contradiction I'm getting at?

I got it and its a good point...but there is an element of the human condition to be aware of. Human's greatest strength is not sharp teeth, claws and fleet of foot. In the natural realm of the animal kingdom, man is not suppose to be on top of the food chain based on physical attributes. Our strength comes from curiosity, observations, and the desire to figure things out.

That quest for knowledge has allow us to observe nature at its best and worst. So we later define the good elements of our world as the making of GOD and the more horrific events as nature, man's doing, or the devil.

Because God is still perfect and worthy of glory! There is so much more than the horror you refer to. There is beauty, there is the amazing way our bodies function, the minute details that all work together.... God has given us beauty to look at and a wonderful world to enjoy. Yes there are some horrific things, but all in all, I think it's very nice. The horrors I see most of the time are those committed by humans.

the world its self is not a result of original sin, however, the evil in the world does go back to the original sin.had Adam and Eve not sinned,we may very well have been living in complete bliss today.God created us to worship and bring glory to Him, we are the ones who have fallen short, not God.

ok the priorities could be as follows: one million.college 2.Sleep 3.Pool tournaments because of the fact that college is maximum mandatory, he could pass on time. because of the fact that Sleep is next in line, he desires 8 hours and hence could be in mattress by using no later than 11:30pm. because of the fact that he can not get domicile from pool tournaments until 1am, he should not be stepping into any respect. this could properly be some thing he does throughout summer time holiday - yet not for the duration of the college 365 days.

We proclaim His Glory and spread His Word so that man can be reunited with God in the way He intended it in the first place.

i have to admit that I'm not seeing what you are saying, glory to God because it is his universe. tell me the horror. is it animals eating another animal, or us eating animals, or are you talking about the way people treat each other? because theres your sin,
God left us to our own devices, he lets us choose the way we want to live. you are either going to be good to people, or be good to people, because of Gods love, or you will be that horror to people. people who know, believe and love God always see his glory.....may God bless you and have a merry Christmas.

Original sin only wounded the world and distorted many aspects of it.

It did not entirely deprive it of truth, goodness, and beauty.

The fall wounded and weakened man, but he still retains his basic goodness of being human. He was not reduced to total depravity as many Christians erroneously believe.

To look around, one can still see much that is good, true, and beautiful.

Saying that "God's glory is in it" is an act of hope, and hope is the only thing we can give without having.

Gee, no I don't. For it was man who choose to screw things up. Fortunately, God so loves the world that He sent Jesus to redeem us. Your question is just another case of somebody blaming God for man's ignorance or satan's evil. God loves you anyway.
