She is very smart and can count very high, know her abc's lots of words but she refuses to learn how to go potty, ride her bike, play with her sit and spin etc. I know kids do things in their own time but jeez. What should I do besides wait? She is the only child.

Every thing I want to do in life seems like God is making it 10Xs harder for me to achieve than other people. Sometimes I feel like God really hates me. I work really hard at everything I do and I am a good person, but I feel like God just sits up in Heaven and laughs at me every time something goes wrong. I never feel his presence, at least not when it comes to things that really matter to me. It seems that no matter how hard I try at certain things God gives me no helping hand. I don't know what to do.

How do we define humanity? What is a human being? What does God's Word reveal about what humanity is AND, what do philosopers from time immemorial define humanity, know of any definition they have thought of?

If God is the only one who can see the heart, then how can we even begin to judge others justly?

I am looking for a Christmas gift for a friend of mine who is Lutheran. I know she goes to Church and whatnot and I saw this gorgeous handpainted nativity scene in a little shop in my town. I'm Catholic and have always displayed a Nativity scene in my home. Unfortunately I'm a little in the dark about other faiths' practices. Is this something that people of the Lutheran faith normally display during the Christmas/Advent season? Thanks!

I was raised a Christian but since 99 I have had come to a conclusion that our planet has been around for billions of yrs & that it was not waiting 4 the arriving of a man. That is just 2 Sci Fi 4 me but there has to me more to us than just carbon. I've had 2 experiences with the paranormal. We live in a house where 2 girls (sisters) killed themselves & a family of 4 died leaving the drive way by a dump truck. The both times it happened in our bed. The 1st I was woke by my husband (who I thought was him) he was illuminated in a bright blue light & was sitting up in bed smiling @ me. He then nodded to me towards our baby daughter who was 3 @ the time I looked over @ her & she was covered up in a comforter. I got her out of it & looked back @ him. He was sound asleep so I sat up in bed so I wouldn't go right back to sleep passing this off as a dream. 2nd time I was woke by a push or something I looked up & a little boy was smiling @ me while riding on my husbands back like a bull.

people, stop being so brainwashed. obviously, everyone is searching for the answers. if you aren't, you probably deserve to go to your medieval hell you've painted. stop being this way. my dad had me brainwashed with all this catholic stuff, until he let me out into the real world. if you look at it, the atheists are right: what good does it do to watch the 700 club and go to bible studies when millions die of easily preventable deases everyday. and why would god allow any of this to happen. obviously, he's not the big happy face you paint. he has his own agenda (if he exists) and we're a small part of it. stop being mindless conformists and stand up for yourselves. what do you think about this?

Why do you call yourself Christian?

Catholics worship, not just "hold high in esteem" as you say you do about Mary! (and) saints....we are NOT to pray to a dead person PERIOD! How can confessing to MAN help you!?! Jesus tought us to pray boldly in HIS name....he didn't say; go to a priest and pray or confess to him first!... (JUST to name a few points)

J.W., you don't even beleive that Jesus is God! That IS the "basics" of being a Christian.

Is man the measure all things in an athiest world? Is osma bin laden only evil in America, but since he is a hero in parts of the middle east does that make him good too? So morals and virtues are dictated by society? My real question is how does an athiest know if anything is right or wrong because absolute truth can not exsist in a relative world?

Think about the Pope putting himself in the place of Jesus. He also led people away from God and said that he was not God. At one point he had people kissing him and he touched babies heads like he was Christ. Also, he wore the colors (scarlet and red) all the time as described in the Book of Revelations. He loves to be praised and often wore clothes that showed off his status. Think about it. The pope of the papatry of the roman empire was the first beast! We are in the end times! And the USA is ill explain later

God is eternal. The actions of men and women cannot diminish God. God does not require your worship or your acknowledgment to exist and flourish. God existed before there was anything else, and will surely not cease to exist because of anything we could do or not do.

God’s existence is independent and eternal. We do not influence it. We cannot bolster it. We cannot weaken it. God does not exist for us, or because of us, or for our sake. God exists because God exists.

God does not require your validation to exist. God has no need, as some religious leaders suggest, to go running after worshippers begging for their allegiance and making bargains of what he/she will trade them for their worship.

It is the worshipper who requires God, not God the worshipper. Though, it may be a blow to your ego, you are not the cog on which the wheel of the Universe turns. You are not a sale made in a celestial supermarket war between good and evil.

Why is it, that when I ask very specific questions about God, and follow up those questions with more specific questions, theists get less and less specific? Has anyone else noticed that, when confronted with reason, God becomes even more and more "distant" and "abstract", until eventually he's gone from smiting Egyptians based on the presence of goat's blood (Exodus), to being some kind of abstract force that exists outside of any known universe or multiverse?

Am I the only one to observe this regression? Anyone care to explain it?

Do pigs have free will? Are they homosexuals by choice? Is Satan also playing tricks on the pigs?

If many types of animals are given to us simply to eat them, it's necessary that animals reproduce. It doesn't make sense if God made homosexual animals. Could it be, ehm, I'm almost to scared to ask this on this forum, but could it be that homosexuality is...ehm..natural?

Nahh, sorry, it's probably the Devil and more of that blar, blar, blar, right?
