I was raised a Christian but since 99 I have had come to a conclusion that our planet has been around for billions of yrs & that it was not waiting 4 the arriving of a man. That is just 2 Sci Fi 4 me but there has to me more to us than just carbon. I've had 2 experiences with the paranormal. We live in a house where 2 girls (sisters) killed themselves & a family of 4 died leaving the drive way by a dump truck. The both times it happened in our bed. The 1st I was woke by my husband (who I thought was him) he was illuminated in a bright blue light & was sitting up in bed smiling @ me. He then nodded to me towards our baby daughter who was 3 @ the time I looked over @ her & she was covered up in a comforter. I got her out of it & looked back @ him. He was sound asleep so I sat up in bed so I wouldn't go right back to sleep passing this off as a dream. 2nd time I was woke by a push or something I looked up & a little boy was smiling @ me while riding on my husbands back like a bull.

I'd like to add the boy was in the same bright blue illuminating light. Also, he was happy playing like a child does on the back of an adult. I looked down & back up & he was gone. I sat up to again not pass it off as a dream, but this one scared me. I don't know why because he was happy.

I had to omit the comas, etc. in the 1 st edition as I did not have enough characters.

I'm getting really lame answers, please explain your answers better. I'm not crazy or need attention. I'm dead serious.

First of all I never said I didn't believe in anything, I said I was on a spiritual journey, hence, I haven't got there yet. Also, to whom commented on writing as if I am texting, I stated that I was out of characters & cut back on the commas, spaces, etc. I was under the impression that athiest believed that when you die that is it, there is no more. So, for the athiestist I insulted excuse me!!

Um.. No, I am not sleeping in the same bed, not even the same room. Don't know how that got imlied Anyway, the girls killed themselves in 2 seperate places, her bedroom & the bathtub. Yes, we do shower in the tub, but never taken a bath in it. There is a bullet impression in the tub. It does give me the creeps sometimes, but only when I focus on it. No, I don't feel no harm from these ghost. My 3 yr. old came screaming & running out of the room inwhich the one girl killed herself. There is a small blood stain there still. I asked her what was wrong & she said the spooky tried to bite me, I said show me the spooky, without leading her she took me to the window...right by the stain. That freaked us out. She said one night she was scared to take a shower because of the woman in the tub, she said she is cold. We of course never mentioned to her about the deaths in this house.

It's difficult to classify all atheists in the same way that it's difficult to classify all Christians. All atheists do not believe in a creator-God, but atheists can be spiritual and may believe in ghosts, reincarnation, or other spiritual, mystical or paranormal phenomena.

Buddhists, for example, are atheists. Buddha is not a god figure and Buddism is not, technically, a religion. It's considered a philosophy. A brief, somewhat simplistic, explanation of Buddhism is: There is no central deity or group of deities. Each "soul" is believed to be on a journey toward enlightenment (nirvana). Souls who have achieved nirvana are released from the "wheel of life" and become one with the universal essence. Some souls who have achieved nirvana decide, selflessly, to remain in this reality to assist others to achieve enlightenment. These are Buddhas. The most well-known of these Buddhas in our time is Gautama Buddha (Siddhartha).

In fact, ghosts should not fit with the Christan belief in an afterlife. After death, Christians believe the soul goes either to heaven or hell. Some Christian faiths believe in an intermediate phase of punishment for those with minor sins (not good enough for heaven, but not evil enough for hell) called "purgatory." There is some disagreement among Christians whether belief in ghosts and the paranormal is in line with Christian faith. If God judges us all after death, and assigns us to heaven or hell, why do some souls seem to remain attached to our reality?

I am confused when you describe the earlier deaths in your house as having happened "in our bed." Surely you're not sleeping in the exact same bed in which these deaths occurred? If so, that's one thing I would change immediately.

If the ghosts/spirits are associated specifically with your bedroom, perhaps you can move your bedroom to a different room of the house.

The main issues are:

1. Do you feel that any of these ghosts/spirits are malevolent or intend you physical or psychic harm?

2. If they don't feel malevolent, does their presence disturb you so that you aren't comfortable in your own house?

3. Do you know of any reputable psychics or spiritualists who can assist you with exorcising/expelling these spirits?

4. If you had to, are you able to sell the house and move?

I don't know if I've helped you with your questions, but I hope that you're able to reach peaceful enjoyment of your home.

First, it makes it really hard to read when someone is writing like they are texting on a phone.... I may be picky, but I'm an editor, and it's hard to leave my job at the office.

Anyway, the fact that you are an atheist (Believing that there is no God) may not preclude you from believing in all paranormal... you could have paranormal without a God, though this may leave the door open a bit more than a true atheist would like.

Also, your belief that one particular religion seemed more like Science Fiction shouldn't necessarily lead one to belief that ALL are therefore wrong.

Believing that all religion is wrong after finding that you don't believe what one of them says seems a little presumptuous. Why not look into the others? Why not take a course in comparative religion just to see if perhaps there might not be a nuget of truth somewhere?

As far as ghosts, there are possible explanations: You could have been lucidly dreaming. You could have been having some sort of hallucination. You could have been having a partial seisure. You could also have seen a ghost.

Try to figure out what you really believe, what you think you believe, and what you don't believe. Write it down; keep a journal.

No-one comes to any real wisdom quickly. Take some time to figure things out and you'll come to something that works for you.

It's good that you're on a spiritual journey as you put it, but it's always good to keep an open mind. It's certainly true that the earth has been around for billions of years, but I don't think that diminishes the reality of God. We are spiritual beings. The Bible was written at a time when people would not have understood Darwinian theory. I think the business of the world being created in seven days is a metaphor. Many Christians agree that natural selection is part of God's plan.
As far as the paranormal goes, this is part of your reality. Possibly science will be able to explain ghosts one day, but I don't think it really matters one way or another. The key to true wisdom is in accepting that we cannot understand everything.

Atheists can believe in ghosts, cause a ghost needs no religious affiliation to exsist.

A person would not have to have believed in anything while they were alive, to be a ghost when they died.

Maybe the ghost was an atheist, too. And still is.

That is really Kool you had those experiences! They do challenge what you have come to believe as true, though, don't they.

What just gave me pause, is that if a person were a ghost, they would have to have had a soul. Then I suppose there would have to be a higher power. So that's another take on things.

Maybe we don't have to figure it all out while we are here, but it sure can be fun trying!

And life affirming. Shakes ya up, in a good way.

What you're talking about might have a scientific explanation, though. There is a theory that some houses and old buildings can "store" emotional energy generated from incidents like the ones you mentioned -- deaths, suicides, or other times of emotional stress -- and can "play" those moments back when the conditions are right. So in other words, you're not really seeing those people, you're seeing the imprints that they left on that place because there was a lot of energy stored there. That's an unproven theory but I think it would explain a lot of the "ghost" phenomena that people report.

I am a Christian and I have seen ghosts on a number of occasions also. After a few times I prayed about it. I wasn't sure what it was I saw. I prayed to the real God in heaven and said,'If this is from you, help me to understand it, if it isn't from you then please don't let me see them again." I haven't seen them now in many years.
Just because you question the earths age don't throw away the truth of a living God in heaven and the Jesus Christ of the bible. I also have experienced Jesus, the real person and he is REAL. Either an angel or the holy spirit woke me once and saved someones life! Also remember this, Satan comes as an angel of light. There are NO children ghosts, children go straight to heaven "Let the children come to me" "one must enter heaven as a child" So just because a demon can 'look' like a child do not let them fool you. I do not question what you saw I only hope you will pray for guidance and reconsider your faith in the one true God.

Your on a spiritual journey huh? Are you using the Bible by any chance?

Check out these verses below.......

Ecclesiastes 9:5

5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

Psalms 146:3-4

3) Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.

 4) His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
In that day his thoughts do perish.

Both these scriptures show us the condition of the dead.

Ghosts? They are not humans in the afterlife. They are simply demons who continue to throw mankind off the truth about the condition of the dead. Satan is a liar and the father of the lie. It's no wonder that his hordes do the same....keep man from finding the truth in the bible. Again....no Ghosts, just demons messing with ya in to believing they are our long gone/lost Aunt Edna.

I wonder if you have an unusual amount of electrical components plugged in at your house. Or if you live very close to a power plant or sub station. I'm not putting you down in any way. But it is something to consider, if any of the above things are true. Too much current running through ones brain has been know to cause such things to happen.

Ok so you "saw" a ghost right after a dream. you sure it wasn't just part of your dream? I don't doubt that you saw a ghost I am just adding a little bit of skeptasism. both tiems were right after you were asleep. maybee you subconcious intrest of the paranormal sparked part of your dreams. I hope htis helped a bit. Remember there is just as good of a chance that you did see a ghost.
