people, stop being so brainwashed. obviously, everyone is searching for the answers. if you aren't, you probably deserve to go to your medieval hell you've painted. stop being this way. my dad had me brainwashed with all this catholic stuff, until he let me out into the real world. if you look at it, the atheists are right: what good does it do to watch the 700 club and go to bible studies when millions die of easily preventable deases everyday. and why would god allow any of this to happen. obviously, he's not the big happy face you paint. he has his own agenda (if he exists) and we're a small part of it. stop being mindless conformists and stand up for yourselves. what do you think about this?

I feel your pain -- there is so much in the world that anyone can change, but no one seems to care. From your standpoint, a "so-called God" wants to watch people suffer. From my standpoint, God has given us the power to stop each other's suffering, and the free will to do it. Many of us don't put our free will up to full use -- we are the cause of others' suffering.

So why doesn't God end all suffering now? No one can definitively say. My guess is that God wants us to prove our love for Him and each other before we can live in true peace and happiness (in heaven). He gave us the tools by which to show this love (such as the ability to donate money and food to the poor and suffering), so why shouldn't we use it?

Call it working for the Kingdom of Heaven, call it "the right thing to do," we need to help all of those who suffer in our world. Let's not waste our time arguing over *why* we should help each other, or why any of us suffer. Let's just help -- that's something we can all agree upon.

I was a Catholic too. Even went to Catholic schools for 12 years.
I left the Church as an adult.
But I found Jesus.
It is not about religion.
It is about relationship.
I have a relationship with God because I accepted Jesus in my heart and I am being transformed by the Holy Spirit of God.
The Bible says: "I no longer live but it is Christ who lives within me." and "It does not yet appear what I shall be but when I see Him I shall be as He is." I am being transformed into the 'likeness of God.'

people dont paint pictures of God. no one knows what He looks like.
and anyways, you were not brainwashed, no one was. God allows suffering to happen because "if you dont know suffering, you wont know happiness" (that didnt come from the Bible). I think that those who suffer and beleive in the word of God will have a much much much happier life once they go to Heaven. because through all the pain, they were able to sustain their faith, and for that, God rewards them. just as He would reward those who do not suffer but do beleive in Him

Do you believe in light, love, and truth...?
Light - "This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all." (1st John 1:5)
Love - "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1st John 4:8)
Truth - "...And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." (from 1st John 5:6)

Good point....but not everyone believes these things. If life were a cake walk and nothing bad ever happened...nobody starved, got sick and died.....then I'd have to say......Vampires are real!!!!
