An earlier question about persecution caused me to think about this issue.

Lets take the time to thank God for the freedom most of us have to worship and talk about God and remember our brothers and sisters in Christ in countries such as China and Cuba who are suffering greatly for their faith.

The above link profiles some of them who are in prison. I am reminded that we need to redeem the time and not take our freedom for granted.

First, I want to preface my question by saying I can only believe that which I perceive as being true. I can not believe that which I know is a lie. I'm a Christian, and I believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God. I believe what the Bible says, that the only way to Heaven is by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. I believe that those who reject Christ will spend an eternity in Hell.

With that being said, what kind of person would I be if I didn't tell others how to avoid Hell and an eternity of suffering? What kind of person wouldn't care what happened to someone else? If I saw someone walking towards potential trouble, I would yell out and tell them to be careful. If I see someone walking towards Hell, don't I have a moral responsibility to tell them how to avoid eternity apart from God?

I hope I get some serious, thoughtful responses.

the world, according to the Bible. Am I mistaken? Does the Bible address what seems to be happening now - these "wars and rumors of wars"? If so, how do we know it's really the end? During WWII, ppl thought it was the end then also.

just out of curiousity... have any of you noticed that when you hold a christian to the bible, and tell them they sinned against it, and give them a verse on how, they get mad, give you thumbs down, maybe call you a sinner condemn u to hell. its obvious they get offended by it, yet they turn around and tell us non christians that we are sinning and going to hell and wonder why we get offended? any one care to try to explain why? be creative! ^^

Atheists are often asked, "If you don't believe in God, why do you care about religion?" This is one atheist's answer to that very question.

If you have children or plan to how do/will you raise them?
I consider myself Agnostic, yet my fiancee is Christian. He was very conserned about how our children will be raised. I figured that if he want to take them to church, that is fine, I might even go a few times. But if they don't want to, they won't have to.
Anyway I was just curious as to how others go about this issue.
Thanks for all answers that answer this question.

Creationists and intelligent designers, do you have a single argument that can resist logical scrutiny and hard evidence?

I've heard a number of christians, some on here, pointing to the (seemingly) systematic persecution of christians. Is the separation of church and state really persecution? Where are christians not allowed to be christians? I'm seriously curious and not trying to "bait" anyone.
