Deepak Chopra has recently taken up golf, and like so much of what the guru does, it may turn a profit too.

Chopra has written about his new game in a book titled, “Golf for Enlightenment.”

The MD and former disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi says, “I nourish my relationship with the ball by saying, ‘You’re part of me…. When you soar, I will soar with you.’ ”

Right.

And Chopra insists, “It’s not about winning.”

But according to an LA Times article “Golf with Deepak” by Roy Rivenburg, Chopra doesn’t really seem to follow through on his mantras.

When his game didn’t go well the guru/doctor “became increasingly rattled and distracted.” At one hole “he walked off without two of his clubs.”

Later as the Times staff writer watched, “he hit the wrong ball in the tree area [and] his karma went completely on the fritz.”

The golfing guru later tacitly admitted, “My book isn’t really about golf…It would be stupid of me to write a book about golf…. The title just gets you in the door. Once you’re in the door, it’s about something else — spirituality.”

So once again as Rivenburg points out astutely Chopra is “a shrewd marketer.”

It seems the guru’s golf book is just another gimmick, this time to target men as consumers for his “spiritual…empire.”

Dr. Deepak has followed in the footsteps of his mentor Maharishi and made “spirituality” into a virtual money machine.

For anyone who is interested Gods true laws reguading sex can be found in Leviticous chapters 20 and 21. Can anyone tell me what they say?

Lets say i was alive 2000 years ago, and i see how society was desperate for something more....so i pay mary a bunch of money to make love with someone, until she gets pregnant, joseph was part of the scam, him too was paid a lot of money. To make the story a bit more interesting, the person who paid them the money then orchestrated the plot to kill all the first borns, to make it more convincing? ahhh! brillant. so yea, he was suppose to be the virgin child, the son of god. The 3 shepherds who was at his birth, were also making sure that he was a healthy baby to carry out the plot, and if he was a guy? so they really were just present to carry out the scheme. So fw...when he dies mary was paid again to find his body, then will take him off the cross, just before he kind of dies, so he won't die complety, he fell unconscious and "3" days later he ressurected. some guy met mary and told her to name the child Jesus, and he will be the "SAVIOR" for humanity, he will help them get on track

(I AM A CHRISTIAN, NOT A JEHOVIA WITNESS)

With Christmas being Pagan, how can a Christian celebrate this Holiday. According to the bible there are dozens of Scriptures including the History of Nimrod that say Christmas should not be celebrated. Proof:
Christ said, “But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matt. 15:9). Christmas is not a command of God—it is a tradition of men. Christ continued, “Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition” (Mark 7:9)

Christmas is really the celebration of Nimrod. Babylonians called him Tammuz (as Nimrod, resurrected in the person of his son), Molech or Baal (as did the Druids). These were all simply the various names for Nimrod. Nimrod was considered the father of all the Babylonian gods. You can read more about it on the web:

Christmas Trees, Mistle Toe, Santa, everything Christmas is Pagan and we stamp Jesus's Name on it so we can celebrate it without a guilty conscience

I've only recently started to get involved with spirituality. Since then I have gotten very close to three people who also meditate and all spiritual in their own ways! one says he can see energies another is almost a psychic.. the other is just all around wise with this kind of stuff. Each one has told me i have inner gift that isn't developed..... It freaks me out because they can't elaborate in what they mean. Is there such thing as a negative spiritual gift.. or is it usually a good thing? I'm not sure why I am so fearful!

just lose all your senses and thought process and seize to exist after you die and you had some way of knowing it beforehand? Could you cope with it? Would you seek eternal life on earth?

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

So today I went to work but had to leave work early. Not so happy about that. I went to buy a bed from some people. I pay the woman 300 dollars for the bed and tell her that I can't pick it up until tomorrow when I have access to a truck. She says no problem. Then I go to a family reunion diner. I take my car that I just bought for 3700 dollars that I have put less than 100 miles on. It appears to be in great cosmetic and mechanical shape ( That's what FireStone says and a local bigshot mechanic shop). WRONG. My engine starts this knocking that gets increasingly worse. Finally it sounds too bad to drive. So I go inside and start greeting family since I cannot do anything about the car right now anyway. I get inside and then I get a phone call. It's the ladies son who sold me the mattress. He says I need to get the mattress now or come back and get my money. So I go get my money back, take my car to the mechanic and he thinks the crankshaft is going out and it isnt cheap. 1600.00 or so.

I answered a question earlier and then got a personal answer from someone. I not going to say their name. but the question was about god, athiests and such things, I answered and this person sent me a mail try to answer my question. They said that I was atheist but not in a bad way I may had. They said I was buddhist in my beliefs. Are they right or wrong in saying buddihsts are atheist or not. I also belive in reincarnation.

In the Bible it says to remember the sabbath and keep it holy, among the things required to achieve this are that you cannot do any work nor can you allow work to be done by anyone in your houshold, not even in your town. If you or anyone else works on the sabbath the bible clearly states that the punishment for that is to be put to death. So tomorrow will Christians across the nation take to the malls,Walmart Target,Lowes,Home Depot,Starbucks, Hooters, and the millions of other places of business that will be open and put those employees working in those buildings to death as god has commanded,or will you fail to follow gods law yet again making yourself complicit it the crime against The Lord Our God?

Bible:

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron that in all future generations, his descendants who have physical defects will not qualify to offer food to their God. No one who has a defect may come near to me, whether he is blind or lame, stunted or deformed, or has a broken foot or hand, or has a humped back or is a dwarf, or has a defective eye, or has oozing sores or scabs on his skin, or has damaged testicles. Even though he is a descendant of Aaron, his physical defects disqualify him from presenting offerings to the LORD by fire. Since he has a blemish, he may not offer food to his God. However, he may eat from the food offered to God, including the holy offerings and the most holy offerings. Yet because of his physical defect, he must never go behind the inner curtain or come near the altar, for this would desecrate my holy places. I am the LORD who makes them holy." (Leviticus 21:16-23 NLT)

If someone tells me that thunder comes from the Norse god Thor and I know for a fact that it comes from the sudden heating of the air, why dould I respect their opinion?
Is it not my duty to correct them?
Am I not justified in ridiculing a belief that is clearly wrong?
How can soceity make progress if we accept everybody's belief to be equally valid even if we know who'se correct?
Also applies to evangelist denial of evolution etc etc.

I dreamed there were these cattle mutilations going on in my front yard, and then these awful cult-like people were somehow causing people to bleed to death, and I could see it all from my bedroom window. There were people out there on gurneys and dying. I became so afraid for my family and me.

Now when I woke up I thought that was silly. I didn't feel fear. But why would I dream of having such strong fear?

God ordered him to put 2 of EVERY SINGLE ANIMAL on the ark, including reptiles, insects, mammals, etc. Teradactyls would be included in the "everything that flies in the air" category. What about all the huge dinos or were they already extinct? Doesn't seem like the bible lists enough generations them to have time to become extinct before the flood though...
