Of course it's not a crime, but it is in violation of the Community Guidelines. Go have a look. They don't want 'chatty' questions on this site. There are other sites for that. My guess is that's why your question was removed. The people who set up this site have every right to determine the types of questions it contains. They don't want chatting here. That's their prerogative. Go to a chat site for chatting. There are plenty. If you don't know where they are, asking THAT would probably be a legitimate question here.
