Being spiritually gifted?

I've only recently started to get involved with spirituality. Since then I have gotten very close to three people who also meditate and all spiritual in their own ways! one says he can see energies another is almost a psychic.. the other is just all around wise with this kind of stuff. Each one has told me i have inner gift that isn't developed..... It freaks me out because they can't elaborate in what they mean. Is there such thing as a negative spiritual gift.. or is it usually a good thing? I'm not sure why I am so fearful!

I've never encountered a negative spiritual gift, I can't even imagine what this would be.
If you are spiritually gifted, then it's a good thing, but if you're uncomfortable then you just aren't ready to see it or develop it. Don't ignore the fear you feel, it's a way to tell you "not yet" if that makes sense. But at the same time, don't think that there is anything wrong with you, or it's negative in any way.

What are the beliefs you were brought up in? Were you taught to fear anything to do with mind? If not, was there any one person, or book, or article, that influenced you, thus making you afraid?

There is no negative spiritual gift, nor positive...there is only the reality behind the word "God". Energy is energy, and the "gift" you have, and that your friends have...we all have. None is special, none more gifted than another, regardless the appearance.

Get in touch with what you believe, and see how it correlates with your experiences, how your beliefs form your reality as you know it.

I don't believe there is such thing as a negative spiritual gift. A gift is a gift what you do with it makes it positve or negative. It is nothing to get freaked out about. Most, if not all people, have some sort of gift. The only difference is some people tap into their gift others ignore it or pretend it does not exist.

Spirituality is born from a personal occurrence with a divine, psychic or mystical experience of one form or another which inevitably connects a person to All that Is/God/Goddess/Allah/Great Spirit /whatever you want to call it.

Religion is second hand opinion of someone else’s divine experience. I think you will find that religions, and especially fanatical religions, tend to separate and divide people, while spirituality brings people together.

Thank God that Spirituality is on the increase!


I believe we are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

You are fearful because you have good instincts!
Yes, you probably have the ability to use psychic powers,and most likely yours are stronger with out training than they are with training and meditation.

BUT, did you know, that the dead have no thoughts, PLEASE read the book of Ecclesiastic in the Bible, and GOD condemned those who contacted spirits or used Divination.

Know why? Because the only ones out there to talk to are Satan's minions of fallen angels!
That is why the feeling of the spirit realm is so powerful,consider how powerful Satan, and one third of all the angels who WERE in Heaven can be.

Stay at a safe distance from the folks who have been tricked into the idea that their powers are solely their own and may be enhanced by God. No God hates Spiritualistic Practices!

I'm sure they mean it as a positive thing. What they probably mean is that you have a strong and determined soul, or something similar. Because it isn't developed doesn't mean it is negative; it just means that you're newer to spirituality than they are. My advice is to seek progress at your own speed, however you are comfortable. You don't need to read every book and become a bone fide guru; just take your time to develop your gift. I've gotta run, so good luck in your endeavors!!

you are able to no longer have the two. in case you're spiritually proficient you're no longer intellectually proficient. in case you're intellectually proficient you no longer spiritually proficient. So i think of i visit could say that it particularly is extra effective to be sensible than waste a while praying for brains.

Yes, there is a negative deal. A penchant for creating negative spirals will you stuck there. You wake up one day around 60 and realize what you have done. YOu sound young enough to nip it now for it is often too hard to fight that battle as you get older.

Try an experiment. Force yourself to actually resolve an issue: WITH SOMEONE WHO USUALLY FRUSTRATES YOU.
