In the Old Testament he had tantrums. You need to read the whole Bible before you jump to conclusions.

Furthermore, the last words in the Old Testament, God is threatening to smite the Earth with a curse. Does that sound all-loving to you?

The Bible is full of God being a prick. Jelous, grumpy, angry and down right spiteful but in the end God always feel bad about it takes pitty on us mere mortals and forgives us restoring us to a place of love and glory.

He isn't. If you read the Old Testament, there are hardly any instances where God is loving by any stretch of the imagination. He's not even that loving in the New Testament either.

Its His nature, its not something He chooses to be or not to be...just because we don't understand it doesn't mean it doesn't all fit together. There is MUCH in the universe we have no idea about. Why do we think we know it all???

I am a polytheist and I don't believe that any deity is all-positive or all-negative. My deities are a combination of both---just as I am and everything else in nature is.

It is difficult for us to understand God. We judge situations from our experiences. We know how difficult it is to forgive. Jesus knows God better than anyone. Jesus told us that God is love and whoever lives in God, lives in love and God in them. The greatest proof of God loving us is God becoming one of as at the Incarnation and forgiving us from the cross.

All That Is loves all of it's creations from the highest to the lowest. The conditon is beyond 'Why?' The characteristics you mention are human, and you are projecting them on your idea of god.

If he was "all loving" he wouldn't have created a Universe with an "eternal punishment" feature.

If god was all-loving, we also wouldn't have this trouble in the Middle East. All-loving, my rear-end.
