Satan is doing that and 'you must believe this to be saved' stuff is really ridiculous. Instead of analyzing the situations at hand, reading up on the areas that are struggling, and knowing the people that are said through the media to be 'evil and wrong'. you'd realize everything is based on where you're born, and how you're brought up.

All this whacky dark-age 'devil stuff' is just naive ignorance trying to scare people into following certain behaviors. It's not 'real', it has never been proven, and never will. Yes, there are some '******* up' people out there, but if you had the time to know them and realize where they came from, you'd find out why they became that way. It's very unlikely some devil went inside them and is puppeteering their actions.

Many of the answers in here about spiritual warfare, and biblical prophercies sound like stuff out a stephen king book, or a Hollywood movie. You can see the influence. It's not reality people, relax.

When our loved ones die, do they have the same knowledge? Will they know details that we would rather they didn't about our lives?

I woke up at night with a buzzing sound and i decided to prepare for astral travelling. This is the second time it has happened and the first time it just happened naturally.I tried to give it a go and when i was falling asleep,i saw my body had risen 1m high and it felt so good and light.I then saw i was now facing down and instead of going high,i saw i was going down. All this was happenig at home in our garden and ther was green corn growing.I knew i was going right under ground and i decided to open my eyes.I was scared that maybe the mischief spirits would suffocate me and when i woke up i wondered if my spirits wanted to show me some medicine since im a a natural healer and i dream a lot of medicine.Im confused, please help me!

God gave us all free will, tha is if you believe in God. Nontheless he gave us Free Will, but the only time Free Will is used, it is when a sin will be commited. You only have two choices, Obey or Do what you want and suffer for eternity. If a person does not kill someone because of the commandments that God bestowed upon Moses, then one is not practicing free will, but meerely Obeying or becoming Submissive. If one does kill then he is going against God and not Obeying, which people would claim he is using his Free Will. Therefor Free Will is sin, and to not sin is to be submissive.

Chalres Darwin himself admitted that if it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, his theory would absolutely broken down. His theory breaks down at the molecular biological level. There is a book out by Michael Behe titled "Darwins Black Box" that has the central focus on the fact that ther are many organs that have not been and cannot be "formed by numberous, successive, slight modifications." What does this mean... the difference that humans have with monkeys are distinctly different and have been proven to not have evovled from anything so there is no way we evolved from monkeys.

The truth of the matter is that the fossil records shows not evidence of transitional fossils and consequently does not accurately describe a large class of observations.

It is untrue that the fossil record is complete except for a few missing links.

What would Apostle Paul who wrote, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that ...some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ...Forbidding to marry..." say about Justin Martyr's writing (considered to be an early Christian writing), which reads, "And our Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, for no other reason than that He might destroy the begetting by lawless desire"?

I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the question:

"If we evolved from monkeys then why are there still monkeys"

my question:

"Why on earth not? Why, IF we evolved from monkeys, should all species of monkeys now be extinct?"

(note the "IF" - and try not to leap back with "we didn't")

Ok this is what I believe and if it has a name let me know.

I believe that God created Evolution, the reason I believe this is evolution happened due to the laws of nature but how can nature have laws unless something put them there?

also it's hard to imagine that bacteria through hundreds of millions of years turned into people without there being a design in place and again that means something planned for things to work out like this.

I believe that the bible is an old fashioned way of explaining things when we were clueless about what could have really happened however I still think that the bible has a lot of good points in it.

Rather than looking at it has history, look at it as a sort of guide when you get confused with life.

Finally I believe that we are in control of our lifes & we have been giving them to enjoy as long as we respect each other while we life our lifes.

We don't have to prove ourselfs 2 the creator, after all... he's not a fascist lol

This is a serious question. From the things I have read on here you all have seemed very insistent that we leave all our beliefs to join you. If there is a hell (which I do not believe in), what does it matter to you if we go there. Christians seem determined to wipe out all other beliefs and take over. Then, when they are attacked, they complain about not having religous freedom. This is not a hate question. I am only stating what I have seen. We are not afraid of you. Why are you afraid of us?

What is it with the monkey thing?

Every time anyone mentions the theory that humans evolved from monkeys loads of people reply "no humans didn't, humans and monkeys share a common ancestor".

Ok, last I looked their was no taxionomic classification "common anscestor". For our "common ancestor" to be it had to be something - but what?

"It was a primate" people are told. Eh? Primates are the group of:

- apes
- monkeys
- lemurs

to be "a primate" you have to be either an ape, monkey or lemur. So fine, it was a primate: which one?

It seems a perfectly reasonable (but by no means established) hypothesis that apes split from monkeys and humans diverged from apes. We have a lot of ancestors - its a very reasonable thing to suppose that one of them swang from the branches and had a bannana fixation.

This is particularly with reference to religious thought. Whether Christians, Jews, Muslims or others, each group considers itself to the right path and others going astray. Can we decide to mind our own business and worry for ourselves here in this world and in the world hereafter? If this is considered right, taught right, propagated right and disseminated right, every person will recongnize the right of others to live and subsist in mundane and leaving hereafter to God Almighty to decide in each case. The world will eventually become a heavenly abode for all to live peacefully. Think about this message and help the humanity at large.

I'm not talking about creation as each being unique, I'm talking about individual character. If we are to follow the laws of God, then by that logic, everyone would have to think and act the same, thus eliminating individuality. Therefor Individuality would ultimately fall under the label of sin would it not. What makes a person an Individual, if not the Free Will that God provided to us, then what. If we are to obey or follow what God wants, then we would be nothing but lemmings.

I have had some hard things happen to me and I have become embittered.

These thoughts that keep coming into my mind are the harms and dissapointment of the past.

Everytime I surrender everything over to God, somehow the past still comes back to me. How do I put the past in the past?

Out of all my sisters I have gone through the most mentally and emotionally.

I know I am only human but I have had enough of the bad racing thoughts going through my mind.

I am curious on something. Most of the time when I read answers from you, it's from the middle of the evolutionary chain (ie, life has already started). I was wondering what the theory of Evolution had to say about where life first came from. How did that first single-cell organism come into being?

I"m merely curious and hope this doesn't offend you. I don't think I"ve ever heard the answer before and would like to know. Thank you.

The religious right often uses Romans 1:26-17 to condemn homosexuals. But they ignore most of the other "laws" Paul gave to the church, such as the following:
I Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
I Corinthians 14:34-35 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

My question is, if the Bible is the absolute standard of behavior, why do almost all Protestant churches refuse to obey ALL of it? By definition, are they hypocrites or not?
